Hunter
If there were two things Hunter was good at it was drinking and making a mess of things. Though some would argue he sucks at drinking too. After Hunter was left alone in the party the young man wasn't sure how to handle the situation. Many (All) parties he had been to in his life he was drunk. Really drunk. And he decided that trying to be sober at a party sucked. At first he attempted to focus his mind with food. After walking to the table multiple times and leaving with out grabbing anything he gave up on that. Between the shoving, pushing, loud noises, and the fact he wasn't able to remember what he was doing until he left the snack bar he had about had it. He was still going to try the party but it was... difficult for him. Eventually Hunter focused himself enough to get a drink. Drinks always helped him focus. He sat at the bar and tried to order some water. "One... One..." He spun his hand around in the air trying to pull the word he was trying to say. "The liquid thing, the wet one. The drinking one. You know what I mean right?" He motioned to the bartender. Hunter just got a look of confusion from the man. "Withdrawal?" He asked. "Hope not. Just quit today. Can I get that drink now?" The bartender shrugged and grabbed the boy a glass of water. Could withdrawal kick in this fast? Hunter thought to himself. Then as he thought, he was trying to remember the last time he was sober for longer then a few hours. Other then the recent week or so he had been drunk for the better part of the last few years. Sometimes a lot, other times barely noticeable. But the worse parts were easy to recognize. Even got to the point of a breathalyzer being installed in his car by his parents. Which unfortunately for them they didn't know that Hunter doesn't use the regular starter to get the car going. But he thought back, and the last time he could remember being sober for longer then a day was sometime back in high school. Hunter decided he needed to stop thinking about this. The more he thought about it the sooner it was going to hit him why he always tried to avoid being sober. As he stood up a young girl walked up to him and slapped him across the face. "You Prick!" Now Hunter was confused. Not only was he slapped well still trying to figure out where he was standing but had no idea who this girl was. "Do you do that to all girls you meet?" Hunter was still speechless. "Uhhh...." The girl slapped him again. "Don't you play dumb with me! You know what you did!" 'Fuck fuck fuck fuck' was all that was racing through Hunter's mind over and over again. "Do... Do I know you?" Hunter regretted his choice of words soon after when his face was struck by the girls hand again. "What the hell?! That fucking hurt! Stop it!" He almost sounded like a little kid. "I'll stop when you stop playing dumb you asshole!" Playing dumb? Not only was he sore, he was even more confused then he was before. "...Can we start over? Hi. I'm Hunter." He spoke with his face sore and his hand out. The girl stood in shock confused for what seemed like forever. "You don't know who I am do you?" She smiled. She smiled a smile that sent chills down Hunter's spine. "Good. I'll see you later then." She started to walk off leaving Hunter confused speaking only once more before leaving. "I am going to need that shirt back still." Then she was gone in the crowd of people. Hunter stood wide eyed trying to process the situation. "What the hell just happened?" Hunter walked around aimlessly for what seemed like forever as he tried to find a purpose in the party. Which was hard when every time he seemed to be onto something he seemed to lose complete focus and his mind tried to move on before he was able to do anything. Eventually he found himself outside on one of the many ship decks looking over the ocean. "What am I even doing..." He spoke to himself. Surprisingly he was alone out on the deck. Most everyone on this part of the ship was inside at the party. But not Hunter. He looked down at the ocean below him. The black water pushing against the side of the enormous ship. "Isn't this fun Genny? Going out to parties. Traveling the world." He leaned part way over the railing. "Always said we'd go on these adventures. But I guess I lied. You never came did you?" He closed his eyes for a moment trying to hold back tears. It hit him again why he tried to avoid being sober. Even if it was only a little bit he preferred being drunk over being sober. He clenched the railing tight before the moment he let go. Then he fell on his back landing on the deck with a hard thud. He didn't react tot he pain though, he just laid there for a few minutes before finally snapping back to his senses. Hunter leaned up resting his back against the railing. He had a lot of mixed emotions. He was angry, he was pissed, but most of all, he was scared. He wasn't even sure what he was scared off. Or even what he was angry at? He didn't know. All he knew was he hated being Sober. Part of him wanted to go back and grab a a few drinks to go back to his drunk state. But another part of him was still telling him how much of a bad idea it was. Especially when trying to run from emotions. "Fuck it." Hunter stood up to get a drink. He decided he would quit after the trip. But as soon as he a noticeable wave hit the boat sending him back down where he would stay for a while.
