"She could have fought back, you know. She could have stood up for herself against him if you just sent one damn message to us." Ray sat at his desk, his right arm grasping his left as it shook. He managed to play some very old and classic jazz through his room's speakers to try and calm his nerves, but there was a mix of emotions going through his mind. Fear, excitement, dread, weariness, all coming to mind as he stared at the desk. This was the first time he's gotten a lead on Anna in years. He couldn't lose it. He couldn't lose the last normal thing in his life. "He didn't kill mom. You did, when you left us." The captain jumped a bit at the sound of a metallic thump on his door, with a slurred voice after it. There was a couple seconds of hesitation. He didn't want his crew to see him like this. He still had his bruises and cuts from his recent fight, his whole body throbbed with pain, and a mix of emotions swirled through his head... Then again, booze could be just what the doctor ordered. Raymond walked over to his door, pressing a button to open it. It revealed the crew's engineer, or "science officer" according to Tango and a few other robots she tinkered with. She was a trusted member on the team, no doubt. "No drinking straight from the bottle?" Ray asked, his voice a bit raw from the recent yelling. He nodded towards the room, and took the glass gently from Tymea's hand. "We deserve a drink, after all the things we've been through these past couple days... How you holding up?" Ray asked. He knew full well his crew was a mixture of criminals, volunteers, and mercs, so he wasn't going to expect a touchy moment with every member on the ship. But while they were here sharing drinks, might as well try.
