He was just going to awkwardly stand out on this deck with two drinks in his hand… completely alone. Waves rolled into the sides of the cruise ship a few decks below. The sun had set and moonlight now sparkled along the water’s surface. At least it was beautiful out here. Holding both drinks in hand, Jareth walked over to the railing and leaned his forearms on it. He sipped his drink and stared out to the sea. The gentle tap on his shoulder came as a bit of a surprise, as he had gotten distracted. Jar peeked over his shoulder and, upon seeing who it was, turned all the way around. Jesus Christ. This girl was even more gorgeous up close. For the first time, he noticed that her scarlet hair had tips that look like they were dipped in black ink. Drop dead and edgy, double score! The cat clearly had his tongue for a few moments. ”Looks like my siren song worked” she broke the ice. Thank gods she did, he probably would have tripped all over himself if he had to talk first. He used to be so good at flirting… what the hell happened? She pointed to the drink in his hand. ”And you definitely know your way to a siren’s heart.” Jar looked down at it and laughed. “Siren, huh? What are you doing on the ship, aren’t you supposed to wreck them?” He asked. It was kind of a nerdy thing to say, but mythology had always interested him. Not as much as she interested him, though. Jar handed the drink to her. He wiped the condensation it had left in his hand off on his skinnies before extending his hand to her. “I’m Jareth… like the goblin king.” He introduced. The odd name always rose questions like ‘Were your parents Bowie fans?’ Truth is, he didn’t know much about his birth mom except that she was a druggie groupie… but it would be neat if he was named after such a great dude. Jareth grinned his sickening perfect white smile in hopes that he’d finally learn fallen angel’s name.
