Peter
The music in Peter’s mind was thrumming. Every vibration of Jem’s words, of his every sound, buzzed against his skull. He could feel every noise as they created a pleasant kind of haze in his mind, shaking away all of the darkness that clung there. The melody only rose in volume whenever his boyfriend and he shared a touch or even neared him. Jeremiah’s presence had an effect on him that was both incredibly embarrassing and also intoxicating. It still amazed the young teacher that Jem had chosen Pet to play his music for. He didn’t blame Eric for being upset that his music was of a completely different genre. Along with the music, excitement played in his chest as he bounced along side the choir director. Since they were returning to the civilized world where rumors were born, Peter kept his hands to himself, carefully tucked away in his pockets. Still, he couldn’t resist standing close enough for their shoulders to brush as he turned slightly into Jem to chatter happily. ”That’s really cool! She should sing it to the science board, remind them that our days aren’t just one lesson plan after another!” His eyes were bright and his words were fast. ”Should I bring anything to dinner? I don’t get invited to people’s houses a whole lot. I could probably make a side. Bring a plant maybe? Schlumbergera truncata blooms in the winter, so that would be pretty cool…” He shook his head and gave up with a shrug and a grin, showing the idea had left his mind. They arrived at his classroom door then and Pet glanced up and down the hallway for a quick moment. Then, he moved in for a very sudden kiss, pressing his lips to Jem’s for a fleeting moment. When he pulled back, he could feel the music against his skin as he smiled. ”I’ll see you after school, alright~?” With that, the now thoroughly flushing professor slipped back into his classroom, now ready for biology.
