Mizzie had been a bit concerned after noticing that none of the newcomers seemed to have any interest in talking to her, while at the same time gathering more or less around the blacksmith's assistant. Figuring that it was probably due to her appearance, as she had noticed that the people of the fort seemed a bit taken aback by that, Mizzie followed relatively nearby, but without necessarily forcing herself upon the others. As Zane, the blacksmith's assistant, gave a little speech concerning what needed to be done around the fort, Mizzie watched the reactions of the newcomers. It seemed to her that, by and large, they were genuinely eager to get to work, as they seemed to head off in the various directions that Zane had pointed, towards areas that Mizzie knew as needing assistance. While everyone in the group sort of split up to head to where they would likely be most useful, Mizzie was trying to decipher the meanings to some of the gibberish words that Zane had spoken, not noticing that two of the humans in the group (Jile and Jacques) had approached her until one of them asked her a question. Understanding the word "local" in the man's question, Mizzie nodded, a smile slipping onto her face. Unfortunately, he continued his question using words with which Mizzie wasn't as familiar, leaving her to try and decipher what me meant from the few words she did know. "Slow. Words new," Mizzie said in response, holding her hand up to try and forestall him from rushing on with more questions at the moment. From what she knew of the words he had used, it seemed that he wanted to know something about supplies and trading, both of which were words Mizzie had heard fairly often while at the fort. Was it possible that he meant that he wanted to visit the general store to check out what they had to offer? "Market?" she asked, hoping that she was reading his questions properly, and that he would understand her question for clarification.
