Oliver smiled when Sanguine liked his suggestion. She followed up on it by immediately dispatching her vampire subordinate to go get things done. Then he was informed that they were going to the portal room. The Paladin did his best to keep his smile to himself as the Guild Master nearly told him what to do. He wouldn't admit that he liked when she did that, mostly because he wasn't convinced she was that sort of person. He would admit to liking that she seemed to have a plan though. It meant less worrying for him, not that he did any worrying in the first place. It wasn't long before it was just the two of them once more. Of course, now that they were alone, the vampire had to go spouting nonsense about how freaked out she was. Her faithful companion, in an act of solidarity, reached out and took her hand. "I don't know what to tell you." he offered, "It's pretty weird, I'll give you that. But whatever happens, we can get through it together. Teamwork and shit, right?" He couldn't fix her problems with his magic, as they'd already determined, but he was willing to help however he could. Of course, now she was worrying about being a vampire. The Paladin was very glad he didn't have much to worry about, or else the two of them would likely have dissolved into a pile on the ground while they cried about everything that wasn't normal. Once she started asking serious questions, the warrior stopped, pulling his friend to a halt, as he was still holding onto her hand. "Do you need me to kiss you again?" he threatened with a smile. "I'm not scared of you." he added, slowly tugging her closer like he might kiss her regardless of her answer. "Whatever accommodations need to be made, we'll figure it out." he promised, like the fact that she might need to eat people wasn't a big deal. "What're you gunna do? Eat me?" he teased, trying to lighten things up a little. Turn undead didn't work very well on vampires, but he figured it would make her uncomfortable enough to get off him if she did decide he was good enough to eat without his permission...
