He grimaced first, but it quickly turned into a smile. Xiphias was strong, immensely strong, and if she managed to be more in control of her powers, she would be a menacing presence on any battlefield. The pain stung, but Stahl was thankful for it, as it meant this training would make him stronger as well. As a Ghost-type, he had to get used to fight Pokemon he was weak against, and Xiphias proved to be the perfect partner for that. The duo sparred a few more times, until both were too exhausted to try again. As time went by, the sun and blue sky were replaced by twilight and stars. The group came to a halt and their "leader" decided to set up a camp for the night. Stahl was still on the fence about the Eevee-boy being in charge of things, but at least he seemed to have a plan. He hadn´t even finished that thought when that same Eevee-boy, Twix, approached him with a request. "Excuse me, You think you can use your blades to clear a path for us ahead?... it will probably take a while, but I don't think we can get around it without difficulty otherwise. Stahl had to agree, he was probably the best suited for the job. "Yeah, no problem. I´ll take care of it". Before he left to take care of the vines, he decided to give Twix a piece of advice. "We might want to think about setting up shifts to watch over the group as well...just a thought. A few feet before reaching the vines, he unsheathed his two swords, and promptly started cutting down everything in front of him.
