Updated- Evening! I’m Pascal, and I am looking for a few more role-plays, since a few of my partners have tapered off or gotten busy.
high casual: I write at a high casual level, with 2-4 paragraphs being the typical amount per post. I di have a job and life responsibilities, so occasionally take up to a week to respond. OOC is a Must: Speaking of OOC, I really think it is important to have good communication with my partner. I am happy to create another PM for OOC chat. I can also plot and such via Discord if that is easier for you. World Building: Communication is great for making sure that we know when the other is too busy, but also for world building. It is very important to me that we work together to create an appropriate setting and culture to fit the world we are creating. I want us both to create side characters, and be able to discuss which ones are “owned” and which can be shared. Characters: I don’t know enough fandoms to play in any of those settings, or with pre-gen characters. I prefer to build the primary character and world together. I have no preference for gender that I play, and the plot doesn’t need to have romance. If it does, I don’t mind if it is mxm, mxf, or fxf. But it has to fit for those characters, and develop over time. PMs: I prefer to play games in PMs rather than threads. I’m not sure what else needs to be said about that.

Please be willing to work with the information I have provided about myself. I need you to be able to write responses that contain dialogue, thoughts, reactions, etc. It doesn’t mean that every post has a multi-page flashback to something unrelated to the plot in that moment. I need a partner who is willing to talk out of character, and build the world and characters. That also means if you are a female who only plays females and won’t contribute to or play any side characters who identify as male, a game with me probably won’t work out. I don’t care what gender you are, but I do request that you be over 18. I understand that some people are more or less mature than others, but please respect that choice of mine, as I am in my 30s.

Medieval Fantasy- I am fine with high or low fantasy, though I would have to have a great plot presented to consider something involving werewolves or the like. My interests lean towards plots involving magic, and unlikely allies. Science Fiction- I can do modern or futuristic, if we have some super/mutant/apocalyptic events involved. Other Tropes and guilty pleasures Time Travel- As much as I like Dr. Who, I am not interested in a game in this setting. However, I do enjoy the idea of a person being thrown out of their comfort zone, and this is an excellent way do manage it. Interdimensional travel- Either by technology or a magic spell gone wrong, this is another way that I enjoy putting someone out of their comfort zone and exposing them to something new. In both of the above settings, I can play either the person thrown out of their comfort zone, or the person who brought them there. Mistaken Identity- This can easily be roped into one of the above, and I’ve done some really neat stuff with it before.
If you are interested in some more specific plot ideas, check out the ones below.
Idea 1- In a fantasy setting, some people are the children of Gods, but they are bound by some of the flaws of their parents as well. The son of Poseidon, for example, will become ill if he spends too much time on land. The story is a journey for a series of artifacts that will get rid of the weaknesses of the demi-god-hood. Idea 2- In a medieval fantasy setting, there is a war against those with magic. Mages are feared, and hunted so much that they are driven to extinction. This can be a story about mages trying to gain their freedom, or non-mages trying to change the minds of nobles, and end the war through politics. A noble non-mage could end up stranded in mage territory, or maybe finds out that they have magic and seek help in controlling or 'removing' their affliction. Idea 3- There was once one world, where mages and tech users lived somewhat peacefully. After a war, a new world was found, and the magic users started again, a spell preventing them from remembering those who used technology. The tech users remembered, though, and after squandering their own resources, they were looking for a way back to the other world, or to create more. So what happens when someone with magic gains the ability to "jump" between worlds? Idea 5- In a science fiction setting, a human accidentally teleports themselves onto an alien ship. Perhaps it is a first contact story, or perhaps there is a tumultous history between the humans and this alien race, causing strife and chaos. Idea 6- Two people are thrown together in a gladitorial-type arena. One, a fighter, and the other, a mage meant to spell-cast in support of their fighter. They will deal with relationships with other fighters, "sponsors," politics, and perhaps escape. Idea 7- A man has the blessing, or curse, of being unable to stay dead. He is partnered up with ___ (your character) and together, they try to solve supernatural mysteries.
Finally, please PM me if you would like to discuss ideas. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my interest check!
