[/quote]It might a bit but the difference isn't that huge. This isn't the entire map of the planet's surface but rather the known world.
Evident from the fact that south has tropical/desert areas while north has territories of permafrost.
Meaning at absolute best we have 1/4th of the planet's surface shown here. The rest are more or less undiscovered.
Think of this as Eurasia and some parts of Africa while our equivalent of "America" is somewhere far far away.
