Askel's jaw tightened as the rest of herself became tense, she did not take disobedience or disrespect lightly. "I don't know what you are talking about--," immediately after the short statement Askel angled her head downward and sighed. "I'm not going to force you to do anything... at least not now." Askel positioned herself behind her seat at the table as she stared intently at the digital clock above the entrance door to the commons room. It was seconds before she decided to shut the door, but then came the Teufelshunde, Cu. He was what-- a dog? Well, at least that was how Askel saw it when he approached the commons area in nude. Yet she really didn't have time for his crap and was not afraid of yelling at him no matter his supposed reputation, she had enough experience with the so called, "tough-guys" of the galaxy. So angrily and coldly she ordered, "Sit down now, Cu!" while pointing to his place at the table. Once the time ticked past five minutes, she marched at that same door, swiping her administrative card against the panel beside it, thus locking the door shut. Askel rotated her body around facing the table and acknowledging those attending the meeting. Though Askel still stands against Nine accompanying in on the meeting, she recognized it was far too earlier to argue with her and bickering would only side-track them. There was Rigger Moretz, a Corvidae, just like her adopted parents. She would definitely not see him as the scum of the ship, at least he is making some difference. They both equally share the belief in the end justifying the means, perhaps that's what growing up on Corthinidae does to you. In personal encounters with Riggs, Askel always tends to hide her emotions around him, or at least pushes herself to as she grew use to doing around his kind her whole life. Then there was Z, an interesting creature, but none the less to Askel, an animal, sometimes a very vicious one. Although, Askel felt that it very much well fit into the picking business as it would fit into a zoo, she treated it fairly, as fairly as you would treat a house pet. The last one to arrive was Ven, yet Askel can appreciate that he still made the effort to come. Another one to not only believe in the ‘greater good’, but also he hides his emotions just as he hides the rest of his body behind rolls of bandages. And then there was Pax, now Askel did not hate Pax, not like she hated Nine, but she was annoyed with her drunken habits and general ill-mannered behavior. Okay, some days Pax can really set Askel off hence the dents busted on the doors of Pax’s room. Pax is lucky Askel has not busted her with the baton. “So this is everybody?” Askel question while adjusting into her seat and ushering the recording upwards. “I want you to first listen to this. Grick managed to salvaged this yesterday.” Askel grabbed her laptop that she had pervious propped in the room before initiating the meeting. She then inserted the chip through the computer, allowing the audio to sound, "On Trorth B601, still can't find any help... or answers. Don't know what I was thinking, going to a small c-col-colony planet-- well, I thought I find other friendly human faces, we are know for building colonies. But it seems like I'm the only one. Really desperate at this point for any sign. Not sure if the Coun-Council is doing anything about this, or if they even care... Human Council member Mathen Hitchcock died of a stroke a couple of weeks ago. We were still in process of electing a new council member before we suddenly... dis-disappeared. Or at least the most of us... The message then ended, and the room sunk into silence. This was a lead Askel was willing to take, it sounded all too suspicious to her. But who would be crazy enough to pose the Council as the culprit suspected of killing off an entire race? "I spoke with the council two hours ago, while most of you were asleep. If the chip is transported to them, you all are guaranteed immediate release, yet they refuse further investigation into the mysterious wipe of the human race. In fact, they even confirmed to destroy the chip once possessed. They are allowing me to have the chip imported to them within the next ten hours. But I'm not giving them the chip..." The Captain disconnected the recording from the computer, tightly grasping the chip and rising from her seat. "But we will become targets. Every single one of us in this ship are now outlaws. If there were a better way for me to assist the situation, I would, but freeing any of you on my account might actually allow you to help the council track down the rest of us. If you want to discuss my decision, there will be time for that later, but for now a game plan. We'll be dropping down on the Nomad. For those who are not familiar with the Nomad, let's just say it gets its name because it attracts the far wanderers of the galaxy, and by wanderers I mean the every sinful scum of the galaxy. This place probably invented the black market. No one is ever promised a stay on the Nomad, hence another reason for the name. However, we are headed here for weapon-dealing. Figured if we are taking on the council, better be prepared. Yet for us, this is a PSS, a Picker Space Ship. They'll see that right when we dock. Good thing, at least for us, Pickers are known to go haywire on their officers, rioting against them. Nine, you can simply agree that you helped the Pickers in overthrowing me. Haven't came up with plans for the lieutenant, but as for me, female Villianians are known to sell big on the slave market. No, you are not going to actually sell me," Askel stopped and stared particularly at Nine before continuing. "But to make the rebellion seem realistic, you Pickers will have to act as if that is your current objective and reason why you are on the Nomad in the first place... Also, no one will believe as bad as a cop I have been grown to be known as was beaten by her own prisoners unless I was actually... beaten. So, if I am going to play the part, got look the part, right? Anyone willing to batter me up? I am not holding anything back on this plan." Allowing one of her own members of the crew to bruise her, was an even further way to show Askel's insanity, yet determination in her plan and for answers. She understand if it was all too much for the crew at once, but no mater, she was ready to jump into action.
