Stop sulking like a baby and look around you again, you may find that life doesn't suck half as much as you thought... Name:
Claudia Blair.
Title:
The Crimson Blossom.
Age:
19 years.
Gender:
Female.
Grade:
4th grade.
Academy:
Grand Academy of Song Knights' of Capella.
Height:
172 cm.
Weight:
64 kg.
Alignment:
Chaotic Good.
Appearance:
Claudia is a young woman, almost out of her teens. Tall, well endowed, with a knee-length, wavy hair that seems to change color between reddish-orange and golden-yellow, depending on the lighting, fair skin, lightly tanned thanks to long hours of training under the sun, and eyes that share the same base hue of her hair, you can say that Claudia is a hard to miss person. Her choice of attires, in and out of combat, generally defaults to light mini-dresses, stockings and knee-high boots. Every once in a while, or for training, she'll throw in a pants and dress shirt combo that makes her "borderline handsome", like a few of her girl friends like to say. No matter the situation, or hairstyle she's going with, Claudia always wear a bow that is in truth a neckerchief that she seems to cherish very much, but very few people know the reason of it.
Personality:
Claudia's view on life can be said to be simple-minded... idiotic, even, but she doesn't let this kind of prejudice get her down. No, Claudia simply takes it at face value and laughs. If wanting to live a full life equates to being an idiot, then she'll gladly become the "Queen of Fools" and let the boring people be the smart ones. Sometimes, the Crimson Blossom takes "Break a leg!" a bit too seriously, but she always shrug it off and as soon as she's in one piece again, Claudia is ready for another round. Slaying a giant monster? No problem! Going to the beach? Erm... it's a lot of water, but at least she's got to wear a swimsuit. Math test? Some things on life are meant to be impossible, right? One thing to notice is that Claudia has a big crush on expensive clothes that get ruined very fast thanks to her life style, but is nowhere near rich enough to sustain this passion, thereby she's on a constant state of bankruptcy. The "Broke Knight" is a nickname she's earned among the some of the rich bitches that tend to flock at the Song Knights academies, not that Claudia cares for that, mind you.
History:
Claudia was born at, Sapin, a small city state to the south of the Chopin Republic, a land of arid rock crags and deep crevasses where the Sun burns hot the whole year long. Despite that, Claudia's homeland was a place of hot blooded people who appreciated life, perhaps a bit too much. Eventually, the Empire sought to lay their hands on Sapin's resources and Sapin was forced to seek Chopin's "help. While the Imperial invasion was avoid, Spain was basically forced to become sub-state of Chopin. Claudia's childhood took place during the final days of this blitz war, while Sapin was still mostly an independent territory, thereby her cultural formation is mostly influenced by her people's original beliefs. Still while she was young, Claudia had a very important friend, Cecile, a girl that was always wearing a black and red neckerchief, they were inseparable in their tomboyish trouble making. Both of them were inspired by/fans of a legendary vagrant thief known as the Crimson Hound and sought to become Song Knights and roam the world in search of adventure, just like their idol. This life would continue, until when Cecile was killed during one of the last raids of the war, leaving only the neckerchief behind as a memento to Claudia. The years passed and Claudia eventually overcame, or got to terms with, the death of her best friend and, for a reason or another, joined the academy for Song Knights of Chopin, still intent on carrying on the dream of being an adventurer like her childhood hero, the Crimson Hound. However, in the last few years, Claudia also developed a strong crush for fashion and has been considering the life of a model, though she needs some public recognition before trying to embark on this career. What could be a better source of fame for the aspiring model than winning the Battle Royale?
Instrument and Weapons:
Sonajas, a traditional Sapinian instrument that consists of a pair of hollow bracers filled with beads. Effectively, it's the same thing as a pair of maracas, but used by Sapin women to keep their hands free during traditional dances. Claudia has a pair build in her gauntlets, making good use of them on her nearly performatic way of fighting. Claudia's sword is called "La Tizona", or the Firebrand, a huge cavalry sword made of polished red steel, said to be forged from the remains of a dragon. Claudia... acquired it a few months ago, during a routine training expedition to the Old Civilization Ruins and has grown quite fond of sword in this mean time. While the sword can't catch on fire on its own, it's made in such a way that flames will "stick" to it very easily. Needless to say, Claudia learned to use this in a very creative way, by coating Tizona in her own blood to create an impromptu flaming sword, even if it hurts a lot to do it on her own.
Magic:
Blazing Heart: Thanks to her connection to Ravel, Claudia is a literal hot blooded person. In fact, all of her blood becomes highly flammable (igniting on contact with air) if she's feeling excited, or angry (the stronger the emotion, the hotter she gets). A single splash of it can be used to set a person/hay cart on fire. Needless to say, Claudia becomes a harder target to defeat the more hurt she's, thankfully a side effect of her magic is that Claudia has an extremely fast healing rate, taking minutes to recover from wounds that could leave someone on the hospital for a week. She's not immortal however and if hit by an instantaneously lethal blow there's nothing she can do. Furthermore her magic ceases to work if she's doused in water, which costed her the victory on the Battle Royale twice.
Other: Theme
~Ravel~
     Name:
Ravel, aka "Ravie".
Title:
The Immortal Firebird.
Gender:
Female.
Element:
Fire.
Rank:
A.
Height:
167 cm/3 meters both wingspan and beak to tail tip.
Weight:
56 kg/1 kg.
Alignment:
Neutral Good.
Appearance:
Ravel has two distinct forms that she can assume at-will. The first of them is a slim girl who looks to be around her late teens whose both eyes and medium-length hair seem to take on the full range of hues of a living fire. In this form, Ravel dresses garments typical of a priestess from a Civilization long since forgotten and is able to function like a normal human being. On her true form, Ravel is a phoenix, shaped like a big falcon, but made entirely out of fire, without even a single bit of flesh. In this form she's still able to talk (though her voice becomes a deep contralto), but she basically loses the ability to manipulate things and she sets anything that she touches on fire as long as it's combustible. Each form has its own advantages and disadvantages, and Ravel chooses which one to take based on Claudia's and hers current needs.
Personality:
Ravel is fleeting and simpleminded, maybe even naive, but what she lacks in sharp wits, she compensates with good disposition. Ravel is always willing to help and cheer people as long as said help doesn't bring harm upon anyone else. Ravel shares most of Claudia's view of life and passion for adventure, thus it's not uncommon to one feed off the other's excitement.
Powers:
Being a Fire aligned Spirit, Ravel can control, shape and produce large amounts of fire at-will. Her flames generally take the shape of fire birds that look like her true form. On her true form Ravel is also capable of flight. Aside from these basic powers, the fact that she's a legendary creature grants her a few extra powers. Phoenix's Blessing: Ravel elemental traits, both her immunity to fire and her weakness to water are shared with Claudia, or one other recipient of her choice, as long as Ravel is materialized. If she's dismissed this effect ceases to work. Ravel can change the recipient of this power at-will. Rebirth: If Ravel is death a killing blow, she'll self-combust until only ashes of her former self remain. At the midnight of the day of her demise, Ravel will be summoned back to Claudia's side in a smaller and somewhat weaker size. Eventually she'll grow back to her normal size. Purge: Ravel can produce flames that impart a recipient of her choice with the same regenerative abilities of Claudia as long as Ravel sustains the effect. Ravel has to remain immobile and touching the target during the whole time she keeps the Purge active. Phoenix Down: Ravel's last power is a forbidden technique that can be used only once. She can forsake her Rebirth ability and bring back to life another target of her choice, as long as said target has died within 1 minute and still have a physical body, the state of which doesn't matter, but Ravel cannot resurrect say a pile of bones or the ashes of someone. Ravel has to touch the target and, after she makes use of this power, she becomes as mortal as any other Spirit. Finally, none of these powers work on a Water aligned target (either Spirit or Song Knight).
