[@Wintergrey]; Flora and Fauna [@foxygen] [sub]'When people ask you how it's going just say, "I'm great" I'm great'[/sub]
It was almost alarming how a simple conversation between two people turned into what Nicoletta likened to a personal assault. When the blonde with the unique sort of slang made her presence known, Nicoletta was willing to go with it; she seemed harmless enough. But it didn't stop there, and before she even could process the blonde girl's words - she said something about nekos and gidgets? - someone much more...quirky arrived as if from the ether. What cause Nicoletta to grow just a tad unnerved wasn't the sudden appearance or the blunt admission that her bags had been rustled through - though that was something she was bookmarking - but rather the fact that the girl's eyes seemed never to break contact with Nicoletta's. And their knees were touching, which was surely just a harmless, normal interaction between two soon-to-be acquaintances, but it was still enough to get Nicoletta blushing. It was no blush of embarrassment, either, but the kind of blush that, coupled with the peering, piercing eyes, made Nicoletta avert her gaze if only to keep herself from turning from pale to pure tomato. Of course she was overreacting, it was a simple, friendly gesture, but Nico was the same way whenever one of her 'friends' from Burbank that she liked for a reason that wasn't their terrible personality gave her a hug after a day of boredom shopping at the mall. For her sake, namely due to the fact that she'd no doubt be seeing much of the three around her at present, she hoped they took her mild bit of nervousness and seat squirming to be out of a bit of social awkwardness. They seemed the type to understand. Well, two of them did, anyway. The first order of business was to try and unpack what the sportly blonde had said. Tis? Was that her name? What was a nick? Like the basketball team? Nicoletta understood the use of shaka, she had been to the beach before and Heather Chapin had a thing for the surfer college guys that Nicoletta just didn't understand at all, but it was the other vernacular that she didn't quite get. Perhaps the slang was different for people invested in the surfer life - and Nicoletta was making an assumption that the girl, this Tis, was among that community - no one used shaka bro unless they were making fun of those people or part of that crowd. Nicoletta wasn't sure her thoughts on Tis being the captain, but she had to have done something right to get the position, surely, but it was fascinating that three vastly different people had all found camaraderie under the green banner. That was a good sign; and though she was making an early judgment yet again, she at lease admired Tis' courage in walking around not just in a bikini top, but sandals as well. That took brass. "Uh...Nicole is fine if Nicoletta is too much," Nicoletta nodded towards Tis, though she stole a quick glance towards Fauna as she did so, just to see if the girl was still staring her way - she was, "I'm gonna be honest, I don't think I understood a portion of what you said. Tis, that's your name, and you're the green captain? I don't have to call you, like, boss or something, do I? Or like...are there rules?" Nicoletta was clearly out of her element when it came to this sort of thing, though she was used to having to obey the strangest sort of rules back home, and not just when it came to associating with her peers, her parents were very clear about their rules as well. Still, even with the rather awkward introduction Nicoletta accepted the handshake. She didn't want to be rude, after all. That would have been rude. Before unpacking the more pressing matter at hand, she offered a shrug of her shoulders to Shawn, who had been the most down-to-earth of the three greens, and gave a short, but to the point response. "I don't know about spunk but I think I'll be okay. What's camp for if not trying something different? Thanks, though." After speaking to Shawn and ending the handshake with Tis it was time to address the quriky, staring Fauna whose gaze still managed to have the trace of crimson on Nicoletta's cheeks. Her head turned to meet Fauna's eyes and she offered the girl another of her patented smiles. There was much to unpack, such as Fauna admitting so easily that she picked through Nicoletta's things; there wasn't a major concern with that, though in addition to her more...casual and low-fi style of clothing she did pack a fair amount of designer blouses and skirts and the like just in case she ran into another Heather Chapin type, but the jeans and tees outnumbered the pink and frilly in her bags. There was a packet of caramel squares in her bag, something for her to enjoy inbetween meals and activities and before bed, a tennis ball that she liked to play with when bored, and some other personal items. Nothing damning or incriminating, hopefully. But it was fascinating that Fauna could peg Nicoletta's heritage from something as simple as a name. "Sì , io sono italiano . Io sono di Genova in origine , ma sono trasferito in California," Nicoletta replied in Italian, looking rather proud of herself for doing so. "I'm Italian, but I've lived in California for a few years now. You're French? 'Je prends français à l'école.'" Nicoletta's French was minimal, at best, and she only took the class because she was told to by Heather anyway. Italian was enough for her. "I...don't know why you're intrigued by me but...I'm flattered, I think." In her head, Nicoletta was wondering if she was laying it on a bit thick, what with her slipping into Italian and entry level French like she was desperate to show off, to make a good impression. But on the outside she only continued to smile and faintly blush. "Fauna? That's...that's a cute name. I like it." That, she figured, was laying it on more than a bit thick.

Location; Pink Cabin → Wondering Where the Sidekick Is Interacting With;Via Text: The Servant [@lovely complex], Number One Boo [@flightless-angel-castiel]; In Person: Dancing Queen, Young and Sweet Only Seventeen [@Dirty Pretty Lies], Second Best Pinker [@Harley Q] [sub]'Pretty as a picture Sweeter than a swisher Mad cause I'm cuter than the girl that's with ya'[/sub]
Adorable would not have been the word Hana used to describe their new twerking addition, but that's exactly why Pippa was so useful. Hana wondered if the word was said in earnest; she had her doubts, there was always a reason for a pause. Because it was early and because Pippa was rocking the utter hell out of the sundress, Hana was glad to see the girl, genuinely. It was nice to see someone from the pink cabin that she recognized and generally didn't hate being around. Though much like fashion, trends change at the drop of a hat. Seriously, though, it was good that Pippa interjected when she did otherwise it was quite possible that Hana would have said something a bit more in line with what people so often expected out of the pink team. Or maybe just what they expected out of Hana. Though she held her tongue towards Fiorella, the fact that she didn't take her offered hand was probably an indication of Hana's thoughts on the matter even in spite of her genuine seeming smile. Suffice it to say when Fiorella left the cabin, Hana wasn't sad to see her leave. But once the Latina was out of earshot, Hana quickly turned to Pippa, playfully shoved the girl's shoulder, and let out a very brief chuckle. "You are SUCH a bitch. Adorable? Please. As if we need some skank dragging us down. Like, hello, this is a summer camp not a cheap strip club in the boondocks." Hana stepped over to her claimed bed and sat down, putting her larger bags onto her lap as she started to rummage through it for Nessa's 'vitamins'. Her phone went off again, another text tone, but it would have to wait until she had found the proper pills. That didn't stop her from speaking to Pippa, however, they hadn't seen each other in so long, after all. "I like your outfit, by the way, very cute, very...sunny. I wouldn't wear sandals with it, but you always did have a different eye when it came to footwear, Pippa." Hana didn't mean to come off as bitchy, she was speaking rather sincerely to Pippa; fashion was a topic that she liked speaking about and it was rare that she could speak to anyone at Liberty about it, even among her fellow pink members. "Girl, you have to promise me that I can do your hair some point this summer, I'm so jealous of your color." Hana's eyes read the label on one of the pill bottles while her fingers popped the top off and slipped two small white pills into a small baggie, which was then slipped into Hana's pocket as she stood up from the bed. It was now that she checked her most recent text and let out a happy shriek as she saw who it was from. To: my little boy toy kitty u sexy bitch, been wondering when u'd show! im w/pip at the cabin. gonna find nessie. u in? ill find u when im done! Hana sent out a reply to Kitt and quickly send a message to her first client of the summer. To: Nessie got ur vitamins. where u at? dont wanna tire my hot ass out lookin 4u. speakin' of, u cant b friends w/new girl w/fat ass. She hurried out a response, grinning all the while, and slipped her phone back in its proper place. She returned her gaze to Pippa as Hana crossed the cabin heading for the exit. "I've got to find little Nessa. You didn't see her on your way in, did you? Wanna join me or would you rather go find your new 'adorable' Latin lover?" Hana teased, but the offer to accompany her on her seemingly fruitless pursuit of someone that should've been finding HER rather than the other way around still stood.
