Well, they are least [i]try[/i] to justify her being able to defeat powerful opponents in her solo series... Mostly it's that she has a well-rounded powerset and is very good at thinking outside the box.  That added to that fact that she's a bit less serious and more comedic than other characters means that yeah, she totally [i]can[/i] beat Galactus by befriending him. :D
