Those who are worthy will take the courtesy of at least giving your profile and activity a onceover. People who jump straight at things without caring who they're roleplaying with at all give me bad vibes. It's kinda a prelude (my paranoia thinks) to, "I don't care who you are, or what [i]you[/i] might want out of our roleplay. [i]I[/i] just want to roleplay!"
