He is surprisingly brash for being the Head Captain and is quick to take action. However, he will always listen and honor the opinion of the other captains and will never disregard it, even if he disagrees with it. He is a very indiscriminate man and heavily punishes those who do discriminate.

Roumenji's zanpakuto appearance remains the same after his shikai has been activated. The only difference is that a violent aura surrounds both his body and zanpakuto. The aura covers his body like a cloak, leaving a thin green lining around him with a darker purple hue coated with a black outer lining. Roumenji is able to focus and control this aura without using any shikai skills.

Roumenji is capable of summoning various types of familiars that contain no details, only a black outline of the creature filled with a void black. He is capable of summoning these beings in massive quantities or able to create massive sized creatures from thought alone.
