Built Like A Tree 
Not much flesh to them anymore. Gnarl's body is made entirely of plant matter, their skin not much different from tree bark and their innards a complicated mess of roots, vines, and who knows what else. Needing little else but water, sunshine, and the occasional dead animal to keep them going. This body gives them enhanced strength, toughness, and a weakness to fire.

Roots
More like very tough vines, these roots can tunnel under dirt and stone incredibly fast and ensnare or puncture opponents fairly easily.

Cough
Gnarl's lungs have been tweaked to expel a cloud of choking spores. Mostly good for distractions but they can also add deadly toxins to the mix.
