Here's an airbender, if you approve of him :D
Name: Kunchen Sangyen, prefers to be called as Chen. Age: 20 Origin: The newly restored Western Air Temple. Element: Air Appearance:

Equipment: 1. Glider Staff - the traditional air staff given to Airbenders that allow them to glide upon the winds. While the common airbender way of gliding is through the red suits that have flaps, Kunchen prefers the traditional way with the staff as well as wearing the traditional monk attire. 2. Supply Satchel - Kunchen slings a satchel over his shoulder which contains some water and a few herbs for consumption and healing. 3. Meditation Beads - Kunchen wears a string of meditation beads around his neck which he uses for calming himself down when faced with an intense emotion. He also uses this to pass the time when things become too boring and slow. Personality: Always with a smile on his face and a laugh to accompany it, Kunchen exemplifies the pacifist view of the Air Nomads. His view on the world is extremely passive, and believes that Nature will always find a way to fix itself. The only job for the people is to survive the natural order. Soft-spoken and emotionally insensitive (not to mention slow to feeling his own emotions), Kunchen proves difficult when it comes to being sensitive and mindful of his companions, often saying things that may be considered offensive to others. Kunchen displays a calm and happy-go-lucky atmosphere to those who would see him, but the young lad has little care for personal space and would often speak his mind without considering its consequences. However, Kunchen is a loyal person who never forgets the debts he owes to others. He is fiercely determined to repay the favors, trying his best never to go back on his word. However, any inquiry towards his past is met with utmost hostility, meriting an angry glare from the monk. Bio: The restoration of the Air Temples after the resurfacing of the airbenders, a lot of the monks now began their homely life and started to expand their families. Still, their wandering practices continued to be a part of their duties which included helping others wherever they go. A family traditionalist gave birth to a son in the western air temple, but the parents, who were eager wanderers, preferred to travel help other people rather than helping their son grow. After all, in their family, a person will naturally learn of the ways of life as was the nature of their earth. It was a bloody wrong assumption, though, but Kunchen lived mostly alone for his growing years. He grew up under the tutelage of the monks, not his parents, and while he did look forward to their arrival, he already began to expect that, one day, they won't return again. As Kunchen grew in age and wisdom, on his fifteenth birthday, his parents never returned. Sure, there were moments of grief but Kunchen amazingly moved on from this phase in a matter of three days. His parents always preached about the natural order (which gave him the unhappy childhood that he had), and the young monk only saw their deaths as a natural part of the cycle. Every death is part of the cycle; some live, some will die, it is normal. Times flew by as Kunchen grew up in the monastery, furthering his studies on airbending as well as the natural order of the world. However, even at this point in time, Kunchen is befuddled with the fact that the entire monastery mourned his parents' demise when they couldn't even find their bodies. It's been five years since Pemma and Kunlun returned, but no evidence of their deaths were actually found. As such, when he reached the age of twenty, Kunchen took a vow from their Elder Monk to travel the world in search of evidence of his parents' demise, if only to restore the peace and surety within him. The elder monk agreed to this vow, stipulating that Kunchen should also help others along his journey. With all things prepared, the young monk travelled forth from the monastery and into the open world where a vicious disruption of the balance underwent. For all he knew, his parents' disappearance could have stemmed from these so-called extremists who indiscriminately destroy anything in their way, disrupting the balance that the air monks sorely believed in. Other: 1. Kunchen is talented in cooking various herbs and other meals, although, he is mainly vegetarian. 2. A scar runs down his left eye due to an encounter with the extremists as he sought clues for his parents' disappearance. 3. He is extremely naïve when it comes to the reality of relationships with others, as well as having a low emotional understanding of others' feelings.
