As she only had one good eye, she had to turn in a full 360-degree circle to see all of her surroundings. Unease and butterflies settled in her stomach, causing her to settle one small hand on her stomach, the other holding Finlo. Her fox had been quiet for most of the journey, looking around and occasionally giving her licks under her chin in an attempt to settle her nerves. Among her fluttering nerves was another feeling, a tingling sensation. After she left that house full of wolves, the tingling feeling had been her sole guide towards her destination. Luckily, she had had enough sense to grab what allowance money she had before leaving from her home which had made her journey a little easier. Not much, but a little. Sigh. Home. She closed her eyes briefly as she enjoyed the slight breeze that was ruffling her hair. She couldn't imagine what was going through Aedan's mind. She really wished she could have explained to him where she was going but the wolves had tugged her out of the house before she could. After their parents had died and they moved to America, Aedan had been extremely protective of her. He was worried she wouldn't adjust well to the large cities and bustling life that was San Francisco. And it had been hard, a little bit. It had been hard leaving the home she has always known and moving to a place where everything was different. It had been hard being the new girl from a different country who everyone wanted to gawk at and who everyone wanted to snicker at because of her accent. Thankfully, she was sort of a language geek so the different language didn't bother her. Coming home from work to find an empty apartment and a missing Aileena was going to kill him. She just hoped she would be able to see him again, one day. She shook her head sharply, clearing the memories from the forefront of her mind and focused on the present. She could feel the tingling sensation becoming stronger as she walked forward and soon she arrived at a dingy door with two scary-looking guys standing sentry on either side. She looked around skeptically. Was this it? She hesitantly approached the two guards and didn't even have a chance to open her mouth before one of them had opened the door and was gesturing her inside. A little spooked at how it looked, Aileena stepped inside and began walking forward. Soon she stepped out into the light, blinking owlishly as her eyes adjusted. "You must be a new recruit." Aileena let out a small squeaking noise, nearly jumping out of her skin as she whirled around at the voice spoken right beside her. She stumbled back a few steps and took in another pair of guards standing on either side of the tunnel. They were both smiling at her, eyes glancing down at Finlo. It was then that she realized she was probably squeezing the life out of her fox and set him on the ground where he stood by her obediently. Guard #1 looked at Guard #2 and shrugged away from the wall he had been leaning against. "Come on, camp is this way." Guard #1 began leading the way towards a compound in the distance as Guard #2 gave her a wave. Aileena frowned slightly and set off after the guy, hoping to get some answers. Finlo trotted by her side, sniffing the air and looking around. Every once in a while he would shoot off to go examine something but he would always come back to her side. As she looked towards the place they were headed, she hoped everything would start making sense.
