Silver was far enough away from the conversation that she couldn't hear any of it. In fact, she was pretty sure that even if they screamed at the top of their lungs, none of them could make her hear them from the top of the clock tower. Nevertheless, she looked down on their rooftop from London's iconic timepiece and considered her next move. She didn't really feel like joining them, or helping in whatever harebrained quest they came up with. As soon as the situation stopped being interesting to her, she was heading back to America. The country had so few demon slayers as it was, they couldn't spare her for too long. "Perhaps you should go see what they have planned?" asked the voice of her constant companion. "They might be able to help us." "Help us do what?" Naomi snorted derisively. "It's not like I have any grand plan to follow. I get up in the morning, go to work, kill demons, and do whatever I want until I go to bed at night. It's not exactly something I need help with." "You cannot live alone forever," her guardian spirit admonished, "One day, you're going to need companions." "Yeah well, maybe, but today isn't that day." Silver shook her head and stepped into the shadow of the clock tower, taking a running leap off the edge, unconcerned about landing. It had been a long time since any normal danger could hurt her.
