Her complexion is milky white and she favors keeping her mid-back length locks a vibrant look-at-me red. Her eyes are a light shade of blue/green, the prominent color depending on the lighting at the time. She has two visible piercings; one on her right nostril and the other on the center of her bottom lip. She favors doing her makeup in ways that can be considered 'pinup'; a smokey eye or a bold red lip but rarely ever both at the same time. Her fashion sense varies and despite the boldness of her hair and makeup, she favors neutral colors such as white, grey and black. It is rare to find her in skirts or dresses, though some of the shirts she pairs with her jeans can be considered quite feminine. She is obsessed with her skin care routine and often keeps her nails trimmed and painted in a lacquer black. Position New Resident. Apartment 2B. Occupation Student Personality Melanie can be described as an introvert in her day to day life. However, she is by no means weary of being social. She can be very vocal in her classes and in things that she carries a strong opinion towards. She is hesitantly friendly, desiring companionship but not knowing who she can truly trust. Because of this, she will rarely let herself enter one on one social interactions with others, preferring to limit it to class projects or idle group chit chat. Melanie is happiest locked in the solidarity of her bedroom. Short Bio
Melanie is the only child to Julia and David Wyatt, an east coast couple who was blessed with a child well into their older years making them surprisingly elder and in unfortunately poor health. Miraculously, Melanie was born with no health issues or birth defects, despite the concerns of her mothers doctor. It is a well known fact that Melanie is the survivor of rape, having been kidnapped on her 18th birthday and missing for 12 days before police were able to find her. For nearly two weeks, Melanie was bound and taken advantage of on camera being cast over the internet in some sort of black market. The highest bidder got to dictate what would happen to her next. 288 Hours of Torture. She suffered through the paperwork, the press, the gossip and the sideways glances for the remainder of her senior year of high school. She was also forced to endure therapy, which mother had insisted on. It should be noted that her therapist saw no indication that Melanie suffered any PTSD and seemed to take the horrid experience in stride. Following graduation, Melanie took the following 2 years off to build up funds for her parents, whom had fallen terribly ill and were in need of expensive medications not covered by insurance. David Wyatt had come down with an intense strand of the flu during this time that his brittle body could not handle and passed on August 8th, 2012. Julias medical condition degraded as steadily as her emotional condition. Melanie had no choice but to submit her to hospice care while she tended to the funeral of her father. He'd been cremated. Melanie decided to enroll at Millington per her mothers suggestion. Her medical state was improving and though she missed her husband, could be found smiling most days. Melanie was weary about moving west at first but, Millington was a reputable school and her mother was right, she certainly did have a natural talent with the camera. Mother is always right. Her eyes are a dark oak brown except in certain lighting when they can appear nearly hazel. Her hair is also a shade of dark brown nearing almost black. She is slightly fair skinned, though she tends to tan easily during the summer. Annie like to wear over-sized shirts to hide her belly as best as possible. Her breasts, hips and bum are larger than she cares for. Position Student living on campus. Dorm C-1. Secret What? I, erm, don't know what you're talking about? School Millington University (Freshman). Studying Culinary with a focus on Pastry Arts. Occupation Unemployed (looking to apply at the Queens Orchid and the subsequent other dining options in town if turned down, but she would really prefer the diner!) Personality Annie is a complex person. On the surface, she seems quiet, reserved and extremely kind. On the inside, it is mostly the same though she can be much more bubbly and outgoing with a select few friends that she has. She can be described as a 'foodie' and will sometimes ramble on if the topic of food comes up. While she may not be super talkative, much of what she says portrays that she is quite intelligent, even witty. Inexplicably, she has moments where she comes off as incredibly timid and nervous. Short Bio Anna did not necessarily have a tough life growing up. Unless you count that her parents were never around. In fact, at the ripe age of 6 months old, her paternal grandmother was granted custody of her. Anna doesn't know the specifics of the story but, she imagines that it hadn't been difficult to convince her parents. After all, they were both 18 at the time of her birth. Growing up, she never saw them except for birthdays and holidays where they would arrive with gifts in their arms and smiles on their faces. Buying her love. It wasn't as if they were incapable of being a part of her life. They lived in the same city; sometimes as close as only a few blocks away. But, they had split. And each had families of their own; siblings that got her parents attention instead of her - despite being their first born. She was not without her resilience and her grandparents had raised her well, teaching her to focus on her education and be the first of their family to not only graduate high school (a feat that had been achieved by her aunt) but to also go to college and obtain a degree. Immediately after her high school graduation, Anna attended a private college for a year, then a technical college, and then a trade school. She had no degree to show for them. Life was not kind to her and something always came up to make her stop attending. Her family was disappointed and while she was still living at home, they would make her help out in other ways. Each request laced with an underlying tone of "you have failed us all". It was a difficult pill to swallow each day. Anna found her comfort in food when sad, upset, angry, happy or bored. Basically, she just found food. And life was better. Dying to get out of her home and unable to bear anymore thinly veiled ridicule from her family, she began to research school far from her eastern home. She discovered Millington and fell in love with the small town feel the pictures exuded online. She imagined that in the best case its inhabitants would feel like a tight knit family and worst case? Well, hopefully there wouldn't be a lot of people she'd have to avoid. She applied and despite her already growing student loan debt, was accepted and scheduled to begin her classes in the fall. Due to a lucky timing with vacancy in the dorms, she has come to move in during the summer session.
