Keell had his eyes closed, trying to ignore the sounds of human conversation around him and the hum of the ship's engines. It didn't work, of course. He could still hear several of the Stormtroopers complaining about how short planet leave had been, how tight the armour was and, of course, how demeaning it was to share their vessel with an alien. Now and then, he'd feel the weight of their gazes, as repulsed as they were distrustful. It was only his official documents that had gotten him onboard and kept him safe from harrassment or attack. Keell didn't mind their stares or muttered complaints though. His mind was on other things, reeling through lists of figures. Expenses, costs, upkeeps, all the different columns of numbers filtered through his mind to line themselves neatly for inspection. Another day, another job. Another job, another payment. Another payment, another day. The mantra was like an underlying rhythm to the numbers, slowly being repeated without variation. This was just another ordeal to get through, just another trial before he could claim his financial compensation, store it with the rest and move on. Angry eyes from Stormtroopers meant little to a being raised under the three suns of Tatooine. Their gazes lasted longer and burned more. His musings were brought to an end by a voice on the ship intercom. "Alright boys, we've docked. Time to go and find your bunks and lockers before falling in for inspection. See you next time you have leave." The ship had evidently arrived at its destination, the I-class Star Destroyer, Avenger, where Keell was expected for a... well, he wasn't entirely sure. A summons for bounty hunters of a certain caliber (though Keell thought of himself as more of an assassin, given that he had yet to bring a target in alive) and presumably the offer of a new job. After allowing the grumbling troopers to disembark, Keell exited the ship to be greeted by a marginally less surly administrative officer. "Greetings, you must be Keell Vo. Welcome to the Avenger, if you'll follow me to the briefing room." And with that, the man set off at a brisk pace. The Rodian followed him, not missing the surprised and often times disgusted glances he was getting from the crew. It seemed non-humans were not a common sight around here, who knew? The briefing room seemed to be the exception to that rule, there already being a Wookie and another Rodian there. Keell sank into an unoccupied chair opposite his fellow Rodian, making sure not to catch anyone's eye but simply waiting for the talking to being. In his experience, there was always a great deal of talk before a job could begin. Another day, another job. Another job, another payment. Another payment, another day.
