His attitude most likely stems from the fact that he's had sibling, who have (atleast thinks they have) more potential and talent that he could ever muster. However, he himself is also a well of untapped potential, he easily grasped the working and intricacies of his element, being able to nonchalantly use it and even integrate it to his everyday life like pouring a cup of coffee. Socially Luke tends to shy away from large herds of people and prefers one on one or a small group of discussion. That's not to say that he's asocial, he tends to smile whenever he is speaking to anyone and always looks at them at eye level. Even then he prefers himself to be at solitude and peace, having a liking towards silence. He can get along relatively well with other people as long as they aren't loud or in general, annoying. However a fatal flaw, or strength, depending on the eyes of the beholder, is Luke's unwavering optimism. He always sees the glass half full and\ will always try to formulate the good that a situation brings. An extension of this is that he tries to see the good in people as well, he believes that inherently, no one is born evil, but because of the circumstances around them causing them to be evil, his naive view of the world is brought about by his inexperience. In a nutshell, Luke is inherently a nice person, lending out a hand to people whenever he can. However only helping people who help themselves, as he dislikes it when people become over reliant on others rather than themselves. History: Luke was raised from afar, within a family of geniuses and brilliance. At a young age his siblings had managed to already grasp the basics of the elements while he, a late bloomer, couldn't, as much as he tried. Because of this the attention of his parents were focused on his other siblings. Although they didn't condemn or hate Luke for his lacking ability but they didn't show any care or much loving either. It was only Luke's uncle, Gregory, who showed him any parental concern. He was the one who taught Luke that he was a slow learner, and nurtured him with patience. Soon Luke found himself able to manipulate the elements, with great control and accuracy. His parents were shocked, and silently loathe Luke for what they think was him 'showing up their teaching abilities' as Luke's other siblings did not have the deft and nimble accuracy that Luke showed. In a last ditch effort they set up a mock duel with Luke's oldest, most experienced sibling. The results were uncanny, Luke towered over his siblings who looked as if he had not even broken a sweat, water was still swirling around him as he looked down on his brother. He offered out a hand to help him up, only for his hand to be swatted away. Gregory was proud of him, a bright smile etched across his face as he hugged Luke. His parents however, were found to be displeased and angered. They quickly set documents for Luke to to go somewhere afar, Elemental Academy, and his Uncle was not allowed to follow him. No matter how much his Uncle tried to deter them from this, it was set in stone. On the surface it was for him to 'grow' better in one of the most studious academies, but in reality it was an excuse for him to be sent far away, basically a sort of banishment. Now Luke finds himself at the cusp of his first year at the Academy. Equipment: --
