[@BlackPanther] Teddy had tuned back in by the time the boy told her she was the nicest waitress he had met. She only smiled and tried to concentrate on finishing her dishes. She glanced over that the boy and noticed he had removed his glasses and that his hot chocolate was almost gone. She walked over to his table. "Do you mind if I take-" She stopped and sniffed. She realized she could still smell something burning, but she had already pulled her connection from the she-mouse and all of the ovens were off. She looked left and right, sniffed herself. Then, she slowly leaned forward. The slight burning smell was coming from the boy. Then she noticed something else. His eyes weren't dead and unseeing like most blind humans. They were alive with light. Teddy could feel her stomach flipping and her heart pounding. Her palms grew sweaty. She took the mug without waiting for his answer and almost dropped it. He's not human... She forced a smile and walked back to the sink. "Right. Well. This is the last thing that needs to be washed..." She leaned her head down again and focused on the mouse she knew was underneath her feet. Just as she was about to command the mouse to come investigate the strange boy, and explosion, loud voices, and the smell of fear overwhelmed her and her connection was broken without warning. Teddy gasped and dropped the mug, shattering it into dozens of pieces. Her grey-blue eyes glanced at the boy and she manged to choke out a fake giggle. "Slippery gloves..." That's when she noticed she wasn't wearing the gloves. She blushed and bent down to clean up the mess. She had to figure out a way to ditch him. Something bad had happened at the old theatre and she had a bad feeling the scientists where a part of it.
