Benji walked through the city to acclimate himself to his new environment. He had only been in the city for a couple days and as much as he disliked crowded cities this was a good place to remain unnoticed. The city smelled strongly of pollution and garbage and the people here tended to wear too much perfume and cologne to the point that it was difficult for him to pick out more subtle scents. He’d seen more than a few mice and rats running around the city and the wolf in him wanted to hunt and chase but the thought of ending up with a sewer rat in his mouth was enough to keep control over those instincts. The hair on the back on his neck began to rise and heart rate quickened, he quickly spotted the nearby danger as ominous black vans pulled up to an abandoned theater. He watched from a short distance as the men from the vans either headed to the back of the theater, set up barricades around the exits or entered into the theater; clearly attempting to capture a large group. He allowed his hatred and anger with the scientists to rise to the surface, pulling the wolf to the surface as well, but stopping at a partial transformation and his pace quickened towards the vans. He kept to the sides of the vans and was sure to remain out of sight as he used his claws to pierce some of the tires of the vans. At the same time he was trying to decide on the best way to enter the building when exit doors began to blow open. For second he thought about leaving as it looked like they might already have this handled, but the opportunity to fight scientists was too exciting for him leave. He ran towards one of the exits that had blown open and temporarily ignored the commotion going on deeper inside to help those nearby trying to escape before more of the scientist’s team could reseal the exit.
