He is muscular, well-built and much taller than average, with several burn scars on the back of his right hand. His blonde hair is intentionally slightly messy, and his blue eyes shine with an arrogance that makes some people immediately dislike him. Aside from his stature, the most striking things about him are his arms and legs, which are almost entirely wrapped in various long white strips of cloth that resemble bandages, visible due to the vest tops and shorts that he tends to wear. | Habits | Quirks | Oddities | Hums unconsciously when listening to music Taps feet on the ground when bored Doodles whenever paper is available | Hobbies | Boxing Singing and listening to music Stargazing / Astronomy Drawing pictures Training | Likes | Country music Competing with others Being admired Sunsets Birds, especially owls Quiet nights Street art Morning runs | Dislikes | Rock music Cowards and weaklings Snowy days Photographs Parties Movies with sad endings Meaningless violence Fire | Fears | Small spaces that he cannot escape from Deep water Helplessness and being weak | Personality Traits | Protective Stubborn Principled Brave Insecure Arrogant Disrespectful Violent Unsympathetic | Personality | Keats can be a little ‘difficult’ to put it lightly. He has a tendency to pick fights with others, for no other reason than being bored at the time. He is arrogant, almost unbearably so, a fact that is almost made worse by the fact that he can actually back it up most of the time. He doesn’t find it easy to accept the authority of others or listen to orders when in a group, and is likely to stubbornly ignore them completely unless they come from someone he respects. He views people who allow themselves to be treated badly by others as weak, and tends to try and protect them from harm. While an urge to protect the weak may be an admirable trait in most people, it is far from ideal for an aspiring villain. It is somewhat cancelled out by the way that he himself treats the weak, with disgust and borderline venomous hatred. This means that despite wanting to help others, and deep down caring that they don’t get hurt, he comes off as a bit of a bully. Most of his attitude towards weakness stems from his insecurity. He portrays himself as being tough and cold-hearted in order to try and hide his more sensitive side, which he is afraid to show to people in case he loses their respect. He hides his interests such as singing and stargazing from others for this very reason. Once he gets to know someone, this tends to come out a little more, making him easier to get along with as he drops the 'tough guy' act a little bit. Not to say that he won't still slap you if you get on his nerves. | Abilities | Textile Manipulation – Can control materials such as cloth in almost any way he sees fit. This means that he can direct its movement, increase its durability until it is as tough as steel and use it to carry out tasks as he sees fit. When being manipulated, materials become much more durable and are able to exert more force and carry more weight than otherwise. Enhanced Physical Fitness – His physical fitness is amplified slightly, meaning that his strength, speed, agility etc. are higher than an average person’s. | Limitations | Textile Manipulation – He must make direct contact with the material with bare skin to begin manipulation. His control only extends to materials such as cloth, etc. that would normally be used in clothing. While he can increase the strength of a material, there are certain properties that he cannot affect. For example, if a material is highly flammable, then it will remain that way when being controlled. Enhanced Physical Fitness – The boost is not incredibly large, and only amplifies what fitness he already has. This means that his fitness is only slightly above that of a professional athlete. It does not enhance his endurance or regeneration, meaning he is just as vulnerable to taking hits as the next person. | Place Of Origin | Mesa, Arizona | Family | Natalie Keats – Mother: A reserved, but slightly cheerful woman. While she never decided to be a hero or villain, she is able to manipulate earth. Frederick Keats – Father: A former villain - ‘Takedown’ - with super strength. Mentored his children from a young age, and was the one who decided to send them to Delphina together. Jane Keats – Sister: Samuel’s twin sister, always much more controlled and calm than her brother. Often looked after him and covered for his mistakes. Could manipulate metal, and was in the same class as her brother at Delphina. Deceased. | History | As far back as he can remember, Keats was always competing with his sister. He was born first if only by a few minutes, a fact which he would endlessly remind her of, but at everything else, it always seemed like she was one step ahead. Schoolwork, she got As where he got Cs. Staying out of trouble, she was always the one having to drag him away from fights. Even when it came to discovering her powers, she managed to beat him to it, finding hers a couple of months before he did. They would always train together, under the supervision of their father, who was thrilled to find that both of his children had powers. They trained all aspects of their powers against each other, week after week trying to improve, but at the end of the day, Keats always seemed to come in second. Still, both of them became effective combatants and well-versed in their powers, and grew to be close friends as well as siblings. When they were both accepted to Delphina, their parents sent them off with a smile, and Keats promised them that he would look after his sister no matter what happened. As it turned out, she really didn’t seem to need his help, topping most of her classes with what seemed like relative ease. To his credit, Keats didn’t leg far behind, and managed to do well in his own right. The pair of them would often call their parents and boast about how well they were doing, much to their father’s delight. On the night of the fire, Keats was outside, stargazing alone. He’d had an argument with his sister which was mostly his fault – sometimes he would find it hard to deal with her outclassing him – but he’d managed to cool off, staring at the constellations with a smile on his face. It was only when he smelled smoke that he realised something was wrong. Panicked, he rushed through the crowds, trying to find Jane, growing more and more afraid the longer it took. It wasn’t very long before he heard a familiar voice screaming, more afraid than he’d ever heard her before. Desperate, he tried to rush in, but was held back by a teacher, who knew that it was simply too late for him to help her. He remembers screaming, fighting and trying to make sure she knew he was there, that she wasn’t alone. That he just wanted his baby sister to come back, that he was sorry. He remembers having to make the call to his parents and tell them that he couldn't keep his promise. | Extra | My favourite supervillain is Scarecrow!

Samuel Keats
{[i]"Jealousy's an ugly thing, isn't it? She has a tattoo of a hummingbird on her shoulder blade that isn't generally visible to others due to the clothes she wears, which aren't particularly revealing. Most of the time, she just wears casual shirts along with jeans and battered old sneakers. Her hair tends to be styled to stay out of her face, although there are a few strands that seem to fall there no matter what she does. Her makeup is fairly natural, clearly not intended to draw attention to her at all. Her ears are pierced, and she tends to wear fairly small silver earrings. Other than that, she doesn't wear much jewellery. She normally seems to be smiling to herself a little bit, like she's in on a joke that no-one else is. This can make it seem like she's laughing at people, even if she doesn't intend to give that impression. If someone looks closely, they might notice that she carries a small extendable baton under her jacket. This is mostly to use in conjunction with her powers - what's the point of shutting down someone's abilities if they can still beat the crap out of you? | Habits | Quirks | Oddities |

Has hayfever, making her prone to sneezing fits in the summer
Taps her feet when she's nervous
Daydreams frequently
| Hobbies |

Reading
Photography
Programming
Cooking
| Likes |

Dogs
Desserts
Sunny days
Cafes
Bad jokes/puns
Fantasy novels
Shopping
Bikes
| Dislikes |

Supers who treat normal people badly
Being the centre of attention
Messy places
Storms
Countryside
Public transport
Singing
| Fears |

Snakes, and to a lesser extent lizards. She isn't proud of having powers, and thinks of herself as slightly seperate from other supers. Partly as a result of growing up thinking she was normal, and partly because the nature of her powers, she doesn't make it a part of her identity like many seem to, thinking of herself not as a super, but rather as a normal person who just happens to have powers. She is quite the optimist, and tends to try and keep others feeling positive about things while still staying realistic. Preferring to keep a low profile and avoid confrontation, she doesn't make a big fuss over most things, although she will happily talk to people. She can be quite trusting initially, although if someone betrays her then she won't listen to them again. One of the few things that can make her angry is when people talk badly about people without powers. She has a little bit of an inferiority complex from comparing herself to people with more physically impressive powers in the Academy, and it is an easy way to provoke her into action. If someone does make her angry, though, she can be surprisingly ruthless in her attacks to the point where it can get out of proportion in terms of violence. | Abilities | Advanced - Negation Field: Amy can completely nullify the powers of people in a controlled radius around her, excluding her own minor power. She can extend and retract the boundaries of this 'field' at will, though it is always at least somewhat present, generally confined to the space within her own body. It does block telepathy from affecting her, however. Minor - Instinctive knowledge: Upon coming into contact with any man-made tool, Amy instinctively knows how to use it at a high level. This ability also extends to computer skills, making her an impressive programmer and occasional hacker. | Limitations | Negation Field: Amy cannot control who the field affects, only the radius of the field. This means that it can hamper her allies as well as her enemies. She is also vulnerable to attacks from outside the field, meaning that if she is caught off-guard she can be taken out quickly. Instinctive knowledge: While her technical skill is high, her actual physique is still that of a normal human being. Her ability only seems to work with whatever the tool was designed for - if she was fighting with something not intended to be a weapon, she would be fairly useless at wielding it. | Place Of Origin | Glasgow, Scotland | Family | Mother: Abbie Stevenson: The manager of the family cafe in Glasgow, with a penchant for expensive jewellery. No known powers. Father: David Stevenson: A mechanic at a garage. No known powers. | History | Growing up in Glasgow, Amy was always a pretty normal girl. Sure, sure, she was good at stuff. Top of the class when it came to painting and sports like javelin, but nothing that couldn't be explained by just being naturally talented. Her intelligence was always a little above average, but nothing seemed too impressive about her, and she didn't really have the drive to push herself into taking a degree, leaving school at 17 with slightly above-average grades. After half a year living at home, unemployed, she ended up landing herself an IT job thanks to her impressive programming skills - something that seemed to come out of nowhere - she spent most of that year helping people out as much as she could at a small company. Sadly, it wasn't to last, and around a year after she'd taken the job the offices were attacked by a rogue super. An air manipulator, he massacred the people in the office quickly and brutally, flying past the windows and launching projectiles that caught them off-guard. When he came to Amy's floor, she was standing at the window, watching in horror as he moved up the building. As he floated up, their eyes locked she felt a cold, almost empty feeling extend from her, and the man's psychotic grin morphed into a look of confusion and shock as his powers failed and he was sent spiralling towards the pavement. Amy herself was almost as shocked at what happened, but the realisation that she might not be as average as she thought eventually sunk in. Even if she realised that she'd killed the man, she didn't feel particularly sorry about it. Sure, normally the death penalty was serious, and it didn't really happen where she lived, but some people really did deserve it, you know? She began to practice manipulating the field, realising that she could extend it around her at will. In her attempts to try an discover her secondary power - supers had those, at least as far as she knew - it occurred to her that her skills with painting and programming might not just be a coincidence. Buying a series of assorted tools, she tested each of them, and sure enough, she could use them perfectly. Realising that she was no longer content with just being another girl working in a dead-end job, she made the decision to apply to Mayweather in the United States. Once she got there, she tried not to stand out too much, keeping her head down and making sure not to tell anyone her power. To her irritation, her main ability was useless in the control room, leading most people to see her as one of the weakest people in the entire Academy. The only people that give it a second thought seem to be the school's telepaths, whose abilities her field blocks from taking effect even when she restricts it to within her body. No-one in the school - well, schools - has actually confronted her to her face, but she suspects that it is only a matter of time before they go for her. After all, she'd seem like a pretty easy target from her terrible control room performances. Despite not minding flying under the radar, she finds herself looking forward to proving them wrong about that. | Extra | Face Claim: Emily Rudd Favourite hero: The Flash
