Name Samuel Watson Age: 18 Element: Darkness Personality: Samuel is an energetic individual who seemingly has no stop to his relentless onslaught of things that he wants to do. Capable on going on for hours til who knows when he'll stop, he is quite the social butterfly who likes adventuring and just doing stuff in general really to stop from being bored. Liking to be the 'fun one' he likes to tease around with people and have fun with no restriction to what he won't do really. Shaking off fatigue just as easily as he can shake off insults and offense which are greeted with a laugh or joke. Being quite thick-skinned, he shows much restraint and control but when it starts chipping, stay out of the way unless you want to be a target for him to vent himself out. It is the general rule of thumbs of 'Beware the nice ones' should be taken of note before you do anything to him. Although his change to a more furious state is negligible as he keeps it under wraps until he can get a sucker punch or two in. History: Samuel came from a nondescript and small town in the forest several days time from the academy and was raised there for a short period of his childhood. It was strange as his memories were blurred but it didn't matter know as the earliest memories came from inside the Academy itself at the age of 6 where he was raised there by the headmaster, being adopted by him after an 'unfortunate accident' as he called it. As any Elementalist who controlled the element of darkness, they simply 'warped' their surrounding area due to their nature of being untrained and accidently harm things whether they intend to or not. Disturbing the town and the forest around it incited younger elemental spirits to attack the village along with lynchers who would try to figure out themselves who was the child born with such a vile element. His parents were of course, scared for their son but something even if it was just a little bit of it inside of them were too scared of their own son as well. It was something Samuel could just... sense since he was born, and he watched it continue to grow. Day after day, it grew until one day they finally for both his own parents' safety and Samuel's they used all of their money and sent Samuel away during an specific event to try and 'cleanse' the source of darkness from the forest by the elders and willing participants. The real question however, was to whom did they give Samuel to since he was a baby at the time? He wouldn't know but after an exchanging of hands from the merchant his parents gave him to, to the old couple living in the mountains and a few more other hands, he would land in the possession of Headmaster Kano who would permamently give him a home and teach him how to control his abilities. As over the past 6 years, he learnt how to simply hold back his powers but never to fully control it causing him to be very sickly due to the constant use of his stamina to fuel his will of controlling his element to negligible amount of damage it would cause. Under the teaching of Kano, Samuel would first learn the basics which was to control his own abilities as a Darkness Elementalist rather than simply suppressing his own powers constantly. Once that was done, his sick and frail frame got better through the months that would be spent. Having Headmaster Kano as his father figure was... interesting as he never displayed fatherly love or attitude in any way but have given Samuel a look of pride at his improvement at least once or twice... in ten years still it was better than what he could ever have before and he was thankful. Being raised in the academy and under the headmaster's tutelage for 10 years gave Samuel much time to think about his position in life as a peculiar specimen like himself. Knowing that he couldn't be the same like everyone else, he was riased in secrecy with mutal consent even at a young age, he know about a rough idea of what would happen if his nature was exposed. Learning the basics of magic safely from behiend the curtains until Kano felt like the time was right for him to be introduced to the world. Hiding him in the darkness, while he simply studied for his time to come and finally have a life. He would be over-qualified as an elementalist to his father but to his peers, he would be all but a weak elementalist unable to conjure his own element or so what his cover story said. Despite this, it would be a good chance to really make some friends as he never got out much. With his existence in the academy kept to only the Headmaster's closest trusted personnel and the polite conversation that he has whenever the Headmaster ever decides to travel, in which Samuel follows him on them. Meeting a variety of people from royalty and aristocracy sometimes to the common folk and farmers in towns and villages. The rumor of a small kid following the Headmaster would always surface once or twice but never proven, as Samuel never revealed himself to the populace of the academy until now of course. Which nobody would really know who he is unless they are close to the headmaster himself. It possessed light magic on a minor scale, utilizing the crystal's properties, it absorbs impurities in the surrounding area but is mainly for Samuel as extra reassurance and security. Hiding whatever it has absorbed in a shell which only reads as light magic, whatever darkness is stored within the crystal can only be released by breaking it. It cleanses itself with the contact of light magic, dark magic with the intent of removing the impurities inside or the light of the moon which naturally cleanses it. The Crystal itself, however, can only absorb only so much impurities within it but it will never break from being full of it, taking several days to even achieve such an amount. Once to the brim it is filled, it will cause the crystal's elemental nature to become neutral in nature and will simply hold no more impurities until it is cleansed or absorbed in some way. Once the impurities is removed, the natural sheen of the crystal will return to the Light element to disguise its contents.
