Once though the portal, our heroes arrive to find a great stone wall...no...wait. A mountain, sculpted from the earth itself, mortar packed between boulders, and cemented. A huge complex, like a fortified ant hill, stretching out into the distance further than anyone there could see. Asura could sense them, millions of lives in the hill, many of them filled with hate and evil, some with kindness and bravery. A mixed bag, just like the humanity he once knew. Issac moved forwards, and bowed to this giant fortification. As he did, the walls itself shift, and opens widely, like a maw of monster, able to swallow them all whole.
"...This is the great mound. Home of my people. The closest thing I have to a home left.....Follow me..." He says, as he enters into the dark maw of the mountain, before torches flair to life, revealing a set of stairs leading down into the depths below. Now his two allies have a choice. Follow into the underground, or explore the world now open to them?

The little winged girl with the blue eyes walked in awe of her surroundings. "This place... There is so much life here. Who are these people?" She wanted to know how they were related to Isaac and everything, so the answer to her question was going to take a while.

Ilyndriel seemed hesitant to go deep down into the ground for a "home," but after a moment, she began to follow. As if asking for company, she looked at Asura. "Um, are you coming?"

As our heroes decended via the stairs carved into the rock by claw, and tooth, the smell of freshly milled soil rises up to meet them. The lower they went, the stronger the smell of freshly tilled soil became, until the stairs ceased, and their feet met the soft embrace of soil, it giving slightly under them. Once out of the stone cave, they find themselves in a long hallway, the floor being covered in what must be an extensively deep layer of soft soil, while large tunnels branch off of the hall, all dimly lit by torches adorned on the wall, fastened by a strange white fabric that apparently sticks to the very walls.
"this is the great hive. This is where my people call home. All save for a few clans which live on the outside of the mound.." Issac begins, giving a tour. "We're heading to the lowest point of the great hive, where the blacksmiths work down in the deepest parts of the earth, barely above the molten seas. They work with the heaviest metals found in the lands, and some even go into the molten seas to find rare new metals." Issac states, as he begins to descend deeper, down a pathway marked with the sounds of metal being stuck, bent to the will of the blacksmiths down below. After another short walk, Issac and co appear before a room, filled with anvils, blacksmiths tools, and blacksmiths of various forms, sizes, and species. Some look as though like spider men, with many arms forging many different things at once. Some of them look to be slugs, using the pools of slime they create to quench the heated metals once formed. A few look to be normal humans, an oddity among the mostly insect like creatures there. One of them is working on a huge blade, one in the style of a Katana, but almost eight feet long.
Issac moves though this crowd, soon emerging with a new blade, the same as his old blade. "Here, our best create armor, weapons, and other metal nicknacks that our people need." He says, holding up his new blade. "....Quite the craftsmanship.......if you all would need anything made of metal, here is the place to find it." He says, smiling.

As the ring of slamming hammers made their symphony, a voice seems to claw at the back of Asura's mind, one eerily familiar. One he thinks he may of killed long ago.

"Fear will envelop the world. Everything will be consumed by madness. This world I envision will be a haven, Medusa. I will become the mother of all things...."

As this echo of the past seemed to echo in his mind, a quote eerily familiar, yet unknown, like the spine tingling screech of a nail against a chalkboard remembered from a lost memory, a hand would firmly place itself against his shoulder. Actually, two, on the same one. "...You. Come with me." A voice would hiss into his ear. Not a request, but a demand. Whoever this was, mayhap they didn't know who Asura was, to make such demands of a Demon God...or maybe, they knew exactly who he was, and was either that arrogant, or maybe...that powerful.

He finds the person speaking to him being a 10 foot tall spider woman, what looks to be closer to a halfbreed, looking eerily human. With four eyes, and six arms, she seems like a menacing force. Her spirit radiates, a willful being. "I won't ask you again. Come with me." She demands, her grip tightening.

Ilyndriel pops up onto a rock and sits, watching Isaac with his new sword. She smiles and looks arnud at all the spider people in their crafting. Eventually, one of them ambles by and stops before her, holding up a pretty necklace.

"For you." The spider person says in a friendly manor.

The winged girl blinks a moment, then reaches to take the thing with gratitude. "It's beautiful." She says, happy once gain.

Seemingly satisfied, the being wanders off.

Ilyndriel puts the necklace on, a menagerie of sparkling metal and stones. It does look good on her. She smiles once again. "I really don't need anything. I don't know how to use a sword, so one would do me no good. I just wish... I don't understand why fighting is necessary. Why are people mean to each other?"

She looked over at Asura as she began speaking with some woman. The woman grabbed him and tugged, and Ilyndriel tilted her head. "Asura? Where are you going?"

"I don't know." Asura replies. "If I don't return relatively soon, I'm probably screwed anyway. So for now, stay out of trouble." He then looks at the spider woman and says "alright, let's go."

The woman nods, and leads Asura to, oddly, outside the hive, and into a near by forest....and he can see what's coming next. Twenty men lie in wait for him, but one soul is familiar, yellow...with pigtails....and another, pitch black, with visible cracking. Tiny...and Maka. As soon as he'd notice, her grip would tighten, and she would smile with a malevolence all her own.
"I've been promised that spider soul you have within you, for turning you in......eating one of my kin was your worst mistake..." She hisses out, and the horror might dawn on Asura. This woman thinks Aracne is her kin, and might try to revive the witch, should she get the soul...

Issac sighs as Asura is dragged away. "I do hope Shiva isn't going to get herself in trouble...she was always a menace..." Issac grumbles, obviously having a bad history with this girl.

Asura is silent for a moment but then lets out a sigh of annoyance and looks at tiny "you know, I was willing to let you live. I mean, we both have reasons for living." He says as he walks forward. Loosening the spider woman's grip with a solid elbow to the stomach "your first mistake was brining maka here. Your second mistake was letting me know you have her hostage. Your third mistake?" He grins "well...you're about to find out."

Emerging from behind a tree, Tiny makes himself visibly known, along with Maka. Oddly, Tiny has a large amount of twine wrapped around her face, and she is squriming around, visibly scared.
"......Make a move. Faster than you can blink, I'll turn this twine into razor wire...and I know you can regenerate your head, but..." Tiny asks. As if to add to this, in his left hand, is a revolver. "...I doubt she can regenerate her head, and a majority of her torso..." he threatens. He then seems to have Asura's first quip dig into his mind. "....Apperently you didn't hear, but my last reason to care....is gone." He says, alluding to the fact he believes a certain person has gone. Slowly, the blood iron clad soldiers emerge from their trees, oddly armed with modern day rifles, mostly Ak-47s. Whoever armed them, either was cheap, or not very original....
"So, Asura...here's the deal....You're going to stand still, while spider bitch behind you beheads you, and puts it in a little box. If you even so much as flinch, Maka's head becomes chunky salsa...got it?" He asks, before chuckling. "Of course you get it. You care about her. I know that for sure......I remember a time where you kicked my ass for even attempting to claim a bounty on her, let alone kidnapping her and using her as leverage to kill you...man, I must really be on the Asura shit list now...." Tiny jests, obviously finding something..funny. However, there seems to be a third force at play...As the sounds of footsteps slowly become louder, from deeper in the forest. Some of the armed knights turn around, raising their weapons, this person obviously not an ally...From the woods, emerges a man wearing a long, emerald green trench coat, with a long pointed green wizard hat. Under the extremely wide brim of his hat, two emerald green dots stare out into the crowd before him, and he remains..silent...watching.

So Asura and the spider person tottered off, and it all seemed innocent enough. Ilyndriel waited around for a little longer before hopping off her rock. "I'm gonna go back outside for a bit. I'm just not used to be underground so long." Really she felt like she needed to get moving, like she was needed someplace, so she began to wander.

Both as a warrior and as a general, Khaine had walked many worlds. He had seen worlds covered in water, and fought in flying cities. He had seen peoples both bizarre and powerful, and tested them in battle. However, always had he seen these worlds through the lens of war, he had seen them in their last throws as the world was annihilated by the superior invading demon force. He had strode through burning cities and fields of corpses, crushing all who stood in his path. It was a truth Khaine had accepted about the world, a state of being he believed to be the inevitable result of his nature. And yet, as he strode from the portal, he was greeted with open green fields. This world was untouched by war, save what the inhabitants had done to one another. It was a momentary oddness, that he found himself without an army, walking on a world so..... clean.

Seeing no viable threats to his well-being, Khaine decided to head towards a rather large structure he spotted in the distance. An immense construct of mortar and stone, similar in shape to an ant nest, but far superior in scale. The makeshift mountain was heavily reinforced, and as he strode towards it Khaine found himself musing on how to take it. He came to the conclusion that marching your troops up the heavy slopes would be suicide, as you bared yourself to enemy attack while tiring out your troops. It would be best to strike from the air, shock troops landing at a variety of locations as a strike force attempted to take control of the main entranceways. Lightly armoured troops could then be moved up the mountain, to be let in by the strike forces as they moved in to capture more important strategic points, and clear the way for the larger war machines to dominate the battlefield.

Of course, such speculation at this point was fruitless, for Khaine had no troops to throw at the mountain. While many demons would still have followed him into battle, he had abandoned his post, and exiled himself. It was a decision he often questioned, and it was mostly his curiosity that set him on this path. For he had seen the world through the Path of War, but what world could be seen outside of it? What beautiful sights lay hidden from his eyes, merely for the actions he took? These questions were what brought him to the mountain, and kept him from drawing his blade. For if he chose not to fight, a whole new world might be revealed to him.

No force emerged to meet him as he approached the structure, no army roared out to challenge him. And yet Khaine found himself faced with blank stone walls where he knew the entrance must be. Khaine looked over the fortress, reassuring himself once more that the main entrance would, in fact, be placed here. He knew that it was quite probably built within these walls, camouflaged by either ingenuity or magic in order to ward off invaders. But he knew not how, without tearing it down, he was to enter. Thus, he decided to wait, an almost painful decision to make, setting aside his violent urges to see how this situation would play out. How would the people of this makeshift mountain greet him, if they wished to meet with him at all?

Not long after Khaine had begun his vigil, almost as if timed for his arrival, a previously unseen door began to open in the side of the mountain.

Darkness filled the cavern inside. A shaft of light striking through dust was all that could be seen in the opening, blinding the dreadlord form making out anything behind it. But he could detect movement, coming forward, a small thing, but of course opponents were not to be judged by size alone. Then he saw it, two, tiny little hands and a beautiful, innocent face with round cheeks and bright blue eyes.

Little Ilyndriel walked out, stopping to look around at the upworld of this strange planet. The air was still, as Khaine's presence alone had silenced the wildlife around him. She looked all around, and then finally noticed first Khaine's big feet and followed them up until she had to lean back to see all of him. She blinked and gasped softly. Hatred and malice seethed off the banished demon as the wind blew a blonde curl across the girl's face.

"Hello." She said in this awkward moment of stillness. "... Do you live inside the mountain too?"

@Wraithblade6

Khaine's instincts had not been wrong, and the mountain soon opened up to reveal a hidden passageway. Khaine did not draw his weapon, although he remained on guard. This world had seemed peaceful from the outside, but any sort of creature might live here. Mountain fortresses were a favourite, after all, among the ranks of both dwarves and giants. The giant creature shifted it's stance, balancing it's weight for a quick dodge if an arrow were to come flying out of the darkness. His blade rested within him, to be drawn forth from his essence as demanded should these creatures show hostility. But for all his experience, Khaine could not have predicted what came next.

A single, tiny creature emerged from the opening. A fleshling, so small that it's head barely reached the demon's calves. It stared up at him like a lost puppy, no armour to shield it's body, no blade to strike back at it. The creature was like a testament to weakness, the avatar of the meek. A small mortal child, two graceful wings curving away from it's back, it's golden hair framing a pair of sky-blue eyes that radiated innocence. The scene drew an odd parallel, the Demon and the Angel confronted with one another. But there was an... aura, about the child. A sense of power yet untapped, potential yet unfulfilled. A powerful and innate magical talent, similar to the arcane power that suffused the Sons of Baal, but simultaneously completely alien. It was unnerving, feeling such a strange power from one so clearly weak.

It took a moment before Khaine felt the need to reply. Courtesy was a trait not valued among the courts of the World Forge, and haste was all but lost among a species of immortals. "My home lies in another realm. I am simply passing through." The Dread Lord's voice was a metallic rumble, loud and powerful. If an anvil could speak, this is what it would sound like. "I travelled to this mountain to-...." On second thought, that was a rather difficult topic to explain. Even Khaine himself didn't truly understand why he had come here. Had it merely been curiosity? Frustration at his exile? Wanderlust? Regardless, he was here now. "I mean no harm to either you, nor the denizens of this fortress. Today, I come in peace."

Ilyndriel blinked. His voice was a little frightening, not to mention the rest of him, but he seemed sincere. "Oh, that's good then. Well, if you want to come inside, follow me. I'll show you to my friends." She smiled, then turned around and started walking back into the mountain, supposedly even Khaine could fit into the caves. "My friends are Isaac and Asura. I just met them not too long ago, but they're nice..." The little girl led the giant dreadlord down the hall as she rambled on.

Tiny grinds his teeth. He never liked a wildcard. Slowly, he looks around, before pulling back on the strings, them seeming to pass though Maka, before he kicks her to Asura, and he turns his attention to the new visitor just in time to see them pull out a deck of playing card, and throw them all, a huge torrent of cards blasting forth. Obviously, magic is at play. Many of the bloodknights are cleaved apart by these cards, them seeming to pass though whatever they hit like butter, save for Tiny, who uses the threads on his hands to block the incoming cards, shredding any that got to close to him. After the cards vanish from sight, seemingly to stop just before Asura, the only four left, are The Cardsman, Tiny, Maka, and Asura.
