The socializing with the big cats went well - a she-leopard being the most talkative of the lot, followed closely by the young male tiger. They were not impressed by the scores of gawkers, or really the children present, but it is amazing how once you start speaking their language that they become much more sociable and friendly. We went from chuffing, to brushing against the cage, to following from side to side, even having to show off the claws on a dead tree. It is like people have never tried speaking to the animal in its own tongue. Not to mention the nonsense that people were saying that they were "evil" and "scary", mostly children, but parents should not be agreeing to that.
