[@Altered Tundra]
Oh I am passionate about music, but certainly wasn't offended at all. I'm only a very recent fan of that particular group, don't have enough time with them to pretend I have any kind of deep connection. (Apparently this album (which is the only one I've heard in full) is their weakest musically from how it was sound mixed.) So I still have a ways to go with this band. lol. I just try to be honest in things I say. :3 (I was legit curious. lol) And yeah maybe different strokes, different folks. Quick Opinions: 1.
Certainly catchy, which is what good pop punk should be though, which set of lyrics strike you as particularly above the cut? Or vocally? "Cardinal crashed into my window. I think he might die. I'll plan him a funeral. I'll read his last rites. Because I know what he saw in that reflection of light. On the glass was a better life." <- Snippet of mine. "Fingernails on my skin like the teeth of a shark" <- That's probably the most abstract simile it has. And it also curses in the song which usually doesn't help, because it doesn't really add much.
2.
Umm, this one honestly had nothing I could find, overall the song seems like a generic, 'story of a girl' song. I mean it's a sentimental song, which I typically enjoy. But didn't find this one as catchy either. (Is that their best from the band? Or is this the 10/10 stuff?)
3.
Now, vocally this band is better than the previous. (ATL) But, perfect time to show you more lyrics, at least from their album. Now I love 'Black cat' from this album but I'm convinced its catchy FOR the sake of being catchy. Does that chorus ACTUALLY mean anything at all? "You were heat lightning. You were a storm that never rolled in. You were the northern lights in a southern town, a caustic fleeting thing. I’ll bury your memories in the garden; I’ll watch them grow with the flowers in the spring. I’ll keep you with me." <-- Another example of lyricism from same album. Honestly I'm looking through everything, but I can't find something like that on here.
4.
Honestly more post hardcore than anything. But I have a feeling I would like this groups songs, but I've never actually heard their albums, maybe I'll fix that soon. Also not the greatest apple to orange comparison vocally since its duel vocal ballad with a girl. (and pretty every song on earth is better with more than one vocalist. xP) (But man, you must not think a lot of my lyrics. Lol. XD) 1. If it Means a Lot to You The words, 'La la la' are used throughout. So nonsense syllables...XD (By the way this song was pretty fantastic. I've already listened to it three times...>.>) 2. End of me (This doesn't sound 'pop punk' to me.) It sounds like the 'clean vocal' single for a post hardcore/metalcore album. I kind of want someone else to rate things. But I'd probably give this 6.5/10. It's overall a decent song, nothing wrong except musically it's a little bland for me. Sorry if I came/or come across as offended or rude. I just tried to be honest. Just all my opinions. Take em with a grain of salt. :3

^ Well I guess that. (that solo is my phone's ringtone.
