However, my appreciation came to an end when it spoke up, explaining to not just I, but to everyone else that a new school life was about to come to fruition. And not just some kind of stereotypical tween cartoon where there's a moral in every episode, and how friendship will solve anything (It doesn't.), and by sheer willpower we'll be able to move forward, no, the bear had other plans in mind... "M...Murder?" The words came out of my mouth so feebly...Imagine waking up, trapped in a building with other people and the only way to escape was by murder. It reminded me of that one horror movie series, albeit a little less grotesque and morbid. That wasn't even the half of it, he said something about a trial and disappeared without another word, leaving all of us with a heavy burden on our shoulders...Do we risk living out our days in meaningless tranquility and peace, seeing our talents be wasted or will one of us snap eventually and resort to muddying their hands with the blood of an innocent? Just the thought of it sent shivers down my spine. I reached into my pocket and viola! The bear was not joking when he told us about our Student ID's, Heh, it's just like a cellphone, eh? Touchscreen too! Now if only it could play music or connect to the internet so I can send an SOS. Now that's just wishful thinking...It booted up and displayed my full name, along with the basic statistics...Even measurements. I glanced around the gym and quite frankly, I was brazen enough to say that all around me are familiar faces, although not so much of worn-out places, although that remains to be seen. One boy spoke up and stuttered so much it was almost amazing he was able to form a coherent sentence, quite frankly, I felt kind of bad for him. Although I must agree that he has the right idea, if we're going to murder each other, we should at least know our names. One by one, and slowly did each student introduce themselves. There was Maya Malik, the Ultimate Engineer, I had to give props, the girl definitely looked pretty. A- at best in the fashion ranking. Up next was Liisi Avedarci, the Ultimate Chef, that was a name I had heard in the Food Network frequently, some say that her food was the equivalent of nectar and ambrosia, was her cooking really that good? Surely, her appeal doesn't just stop at her food, she herself looks quite adorable too, a solid 'A' in the fashion ranks. Up next was Kiragi Yoshizaku, the Ultimate Surgeon, it was a name that I was unfamiliar with, as I don't really keep track of foreign news, but if his presence and talent is any indication, we might just be able to survive for a little longer with him around, quite cute too, if a little frumpy in the attire sense. A 'B' most likely. Then there was Rose Everfield, the Ultimate Actress, and let me just get this out of the way, her movies are amazing, I've only seen a few handful of them, but from what I've seen from her, she does a stellar job...Although how and what she does behind the screen is another story that we'll witness first-hand. And then there was Cynthia Arabara, the Ultimate Gardener, I've heard rumors that she can bring life to even the most run-down of gardens, now, her facial features sure are quite attractive but her...fashion could use some work. 'C' for now. With that, I approached them and began to speak up and introduce myself as well, "Greetings! My name is Rio Andersen, Ultimate Fashion Designer. You may or may not know me from my 'Aurora Ardour' fashion line a while back. Here's to hoping we DON'T end up killing each other.
Donovan Michaels - Introduction into Destruction
I groaned, introductions are annoying as hell. What's the point of getting to know each other's names if we're just gonna end up killing each other? Scratching the back of my head, I was going to speak up afterwards that fashion girl but before I could, another girl stole the spotlight from me, let her have it, it'd be rude of me to steal the limelight. What was with the eye-patch though? Is this going to be some anime situation where removing that patch would somehow bring about the end of the world as we know and it's up to us, her friends, to knock her back to her senses? Honestly, that sounds way better than killing each other, at least we all get to work together for one better goal. And when she finished her introduction, I thought her heard wrong. Ultimate Assassin. Assassin. Assassin?! Great. The killings haven't even begun but I already have a feeling in my gut that maybe, just maybe, she may or may not end up killing someone, I don't want to jinx it but, in situations like this...Nah, it'd be too obvious. Up next was the flower child, Artist, eh? Kinda of vague if you ask me. Is she done? Good, but just as I was going to open my mouth, one guy started freaking out and began to shout to the heavens, like the gods wronged him or something, the guy ran out of the gym in a flash and another one ran after him. Well then, that...certainly was one way to react to things, I had to give points to that guy though, of all the most believable reactions I've seen here so far, his is the most reasonable. Coughing lightly to break the small ticking minutes of silence, I spoke up and introduced myself in a way that just came naturally. "Name's Donovan. Ultimate Critic. Are we done? Good."
