Just be warned, I will hold you to that "never been in combat" thing. :P As for her father, people usually attempt a coup one time. If they fail the first time, they are probably not going to get a second shot. So when it says "Prince Valdym tried to come into power" it implies that he failed the first time. Not only that, but to the lore of this Calradia, Prince Valdym hasn't happened yet. He may never will, we don't know. Two of the three other characters in the roleplay made potential situations for them to deal with, but they didn't drop any names. There are many other reasons for a man to be executed for treason. Framed by a malicious noble rival, a bad coincidence, or perhaps actual treason. With not such a black-and-white "he was a rebel" execution, I can imagine much more potential character development regarding her father's death. She may begin to doubt herself on whether or not her father actually committed treason. I suppose I can allow you one book. Just don't go to a pawn shop and sell it right away. I'll be very upset with you. >:(((
