Its only redeeming feature is being a twenty minute drive from the state capital. Declining population, flagging industry, and a half-dozen unfinished commercial and civic projects are its claims to fame. It's home. Not much, but at the very least it's peaceful. Nothing ever really happens here. Sure, maybe a traveller on the interstate might stop by for a rest now and then. They never stay for long. A town so small, everybody knows everybody else. Strangers don't go unnoticed for long. Some unknown faces in town. A lot of rumors circling about. Stranger than the usual rumors. Monsters, they say, sneaking around at night. You know better than to listen to that kind of nonsense. Kid stuff, something that your little brothers would come out with. You know better than to buy into it. Still, you can't help but get a little excited by the idea of something interesting going on in your town. Anything is better than nothing, even something... strange. Right?
Hello and welcome to my strange and ambitious little project. Basically I have over quite a long time set up a setting, plot and mythology for what amounts to a one-person campaign. This is a story of mystery and suspense, trial and triumph, romance and friendship, growth and understanding. A strangeness has taken root in your hometown, and it is in your power to drive it off, help it flourish, or allow it to consume you. As this is rather unusual for a 1x1, I have some conditions for my partner. Naturally, they must be dedicated and communicative. I want to keep this running as long as possible. Believe me, I have a lot of content available. Second, they must be willing to play a particular sort of character. A lot will be up to my partner's discretion, but a few details are key to the story. For right now, I will tell you that the character must be a female high-school senior. As for myself, I will be playing every other character in the story. And there will be quite a few, believe me. As the story will focus heavily on character interaction and development, posting will probably be quick and frequent, with a great degree of dialogue and not a small amount of action. Now, please feel free to regale me with any questions or comments you may have. Thanks for reading.
