For those who enjoy table top as much as I do - welcome! I'm looking for a group of 5-6 people that are willing to try a system I've created that in the works with other roleplayers. I will let you know now that this is in the testing phase, so our rp might not be perfect - but it will be consistent and much discussion can be had on how something can play out with me while roleplaying. How this system works, is based upon the traits that you choose for your character, is how rolls will be determined. Traits? What Kind of traits? Well let me show you. If you've played table tops before, you know that your stats are based on*: STR (Strength) END (Endurance) DEX (Dexterity) CHA (Charisma) WILL (Willpower) WIS (Wisdom) CON (Constitution) *Depending on which table top this could vary, but this is what we'll be using. Instead of choosing points for your stats, such at 10 for STR or 40 for DEX, you're actually going to be choosing character traits, that will be categorized by that specific stat. Such as: Aggressive Durable Acrobatic Flirtatious Focused Experienced Immune But, this gets slightly more complicated. While your character has 7 straits, it's your job to choose which traits are more important from the 1-7 count. Like: Aggressive +7 Durable +6 Acrobatic +5 Flirtatious +4 Focused +3 Experienced +2 Immune +1 Therefor - if we're in battle, and my strength (aggressive +7) gives me a +7 to whatever I roll. Though, lets say you decided to go +7 dexterity? It could look like this. Boky= 4 (that was rolled) + 7 = 11 You= 6 (that was rolled) + 7 = 13 You win! Pretty simple, eh? It's using who your character is against who someone else's character is, plus a little luck. However, there's a negative side. You have to choose seven negative traits along with your seven positive. something like: Untrained -1 Lazy -2 Clumsy -3 Socially Awkward -4 Air Headed -5 Naive -6 Slob -7 Thus, same thing - only now rolls look more like: Boky= 4 (that was rolled) + 7 - 1 = 10 You= 6 (that was rolled) + 7 - ? = ? Do you win? Do you lose? It's all up to how you set up your traits! Do you want your character to be better in combat? In social rolls? Magic? It's all how you want to set things up, brotha. Also, the more detailed your backstory - the better off your character will be in this RP. I'm not going to set limits on what your character can do if you have the story and explanation to back it up, unless if it makes you completely untouchable. Let me know if this seems promising/too complicated/ etc. If I get 6 people that wanna test it - I can start the scenario! Thanks!
