I figured they wouldn't take any chances as vital as she is to them. I could add that they let her take escorted walks around the Ward. Perhaps help and converse with the commonfolk if the Clerics deem them worthy of her blood/time.

[@Sarcelle Renard] Well, Wernher did say most that worked there were females, however most is not all of them....so....I don't see why not!
