Nick is 5'11 with a lean and muscular build, bright blue eyes and dirty blond hair. He keeps his facial hair somewhere between stubble and scruffy as he thinks a clean shave makes him look twelve. He has a Native American stylized tattoo of a coyote on left bicep. Nick keeps his clothing choices simple, usually jeans, t-shirts, old sneakers, and hoodies. Dressier clothes usually make him feel uncomfortable, like he's not in his own skin. He has a cigarette burn on his right shoulder blade, a long jagged scar that goes halfway across his left side and ends around the middle of his stomach above his belly button, and a small scar above his left eye.

Nick is, for the most part, a calm and collected guy. He doesn't let his emotions control him and is careful to never lose his temper, he has seen what happens when people lose themselves to anger and he doesn't want to become that. He doesn't talk about his own problems because he doesn't like to admit he has any and he doesn't want to bring people down. He tries to avoid confrontation, when things bother him he usually lets it go or ignores it when he can. He tries to avoid violence but he will fight for the pack or to protect someone he cares for if that is only option. Nick puts others first, he is more than willing to put himself in danger for the sake of another, and he is very loyal to the pack. 

He likes the outdoors, likes to stay active and having to much free time starts to make him stir crazy. He's friendly, he likes to be around people and to make sure those around him are happy and feel welcomed. He hates to disappoint people, especially friends. He's never had a serious romantic relationship, Nick's not interested in commitment nor does he want anyone to really be that close to him. Although Nick tends to see the good in other people he has a dark and sarcastic sense of humor and a dark view of himself. Ultimately while he tries to be a good person and as far from what the rest of his family was, Nick believes it's only a matter of time before he fails, just like the rest of his family.

Father-Frank Murphy-A heavy drinker, meth user, and criminal. Nick never had any love for his father who died in a motorcycle accident years ago.

Mother-Mary Sullivan-Died in Las Vegas of heroine overdoes just before Nick left for college. She was a descent mother growing up but had always struggled with addiction in some way. She was better at dealing with it before all the problems with Nick's brother and afterwards it was like she gave up on both of her sons. 

Brother-Grant Sullivan-Nick's younger brother by two years, currently in prison for armed robbery and aggravated assault. Though they were close growing up Grant took after their father and they grew apart the more he spiraled out of control.

Both of Nick's parents are werecoyote's, they met in the desert in coyote form and conceived Nick during the full moon. After that his mom stayed with his father to try and give Nick a normal upbringing and she had his brother, Grant, about two years later. His dad was a mean drunk who frequently took out his aggression on his wife and son. His father could rarely hold down a job and it was often criminal activities that his father used to pay the bills. His father wasn't a bright man and frequently ended up in jail which was always good news to Nick as it meant life would be a bit easier while his father was gone. When his dad was around Nick and Grant would spend a lot of time outside in nature playing and exploring in what felt like the safest place for them. 

When Nick was thirteen and his brother eleven his mother left their father and moved them to Las Vegas where their life was a lot calmer. His mother worked two jobs as a waitress and black jack dealer and though they saw little of her she made sure they were well taken care of. When Nick and Grant were old enough to begin the change their mother taught them control and they would take family camping trips during the full moon. Nick was always better with control than his brother was and while Nick has never taken a human life his brother Grant killed a hiker during a full moon when he was fourteen. After the incident with his brother Nick's mom blamed herself and while she had been more of a casual drug user before she started using more to cope with the incident with his brother. 

As they grew older Nick and his brother grew apart; Nick focused on school while Grant began to spiral out of control. While Nick always fought to control his animal instincts and to keep from losing his temper, Grant seemed to give up on control after he took a human life. His brother was constantly losing his temper, drinking heavily and stating fights. Although he tried to help his brother Grant wanted none of it. Nick was accepted into a small college in California and shortly before he left for college his brother was arrested for both assault and armed robbery. Shorty after his brother was arrested his mother died of heroine overdoes.

Nick found that he liked the small town of Millbrook Falls, no one knew his family history and couldn't judge him by it and it was quieter and closer to nature than Las Vegas. A new town and new life seemed like the perfect way to escape and forget about his past. He is currently majoring in Zoology while working part time at both a Wildlife Center and local independent bookstore. His freshman year in Millbrook Falls he was nearly killed by a hunter but his life was saved by the Pack's Alpha. Since then they have become friends and Nick is very loyal to the werewolf who saved his life as well as to the rest of the pack.
