The group entered the first floor of the mines to a scene typical of horror fantasy. Piles of bones heaped up on either side of the entrance, a mine shaft large enough to fit one player at a time through, though they would need to duck their head. Wall sconces were lit and brightly illuminated the first floor, in the distance was a patrol of unarmored and poorly armed skeletons. A group of 5 lazily stumbling about a large room with a central furnace and anvil. Tipped over mine carts, all empty, littered the area. Above the door blocked by the 5 mobs was a hastily scrawled "Turn back ye adventurers". Not the scariest scenario in the world, but for the first floor it served as a bit of a mood setting obviously. Long corridor, single room of enemies, then a ladder to the second floor. After that it would only get more difficult. At the entrance to the mines was a digital board recording the deepest anyone had gone in this particular instance. So far the deepest was a level 3 excursion by a group calling themselves the midnight edge.
