[@Mimic]In my personal opinion, its best to first get some RPing done with others, spread your name around and get some notoriety and learn what the site's culture is like before trying to GM.

In the past I've found that people who try to GM first thing off the bat tend not to get much attention or much respect (I can speak from experience here). But hey, that's just my cynicism coming out.
