Metatron had his duty to earth whether it be ridding it of demons and monsters or actually protecting children. His duty was to man kind and he would always sacrifice himself for man kind before anything else. He walked off to another town humming to himself smiling as he went o a local small adoption church building and started to talk with the children.

Kira NightSong was a hunter who was well aware of Metatron for he had saved her from a  burning building ages ago. She had known the archangel personally for the next few years training under him and helpign him do his duty. She eventually lost contact with him a year ago but she knew he was always around if a child was in danger. Seeing the huntress that was so post to meet her and raised an eyebrow and waved her over.
