Age: 17 Element: Wind/? Personality: For an air elementalist, Feather is a grounded person. She isn't your typical air-head, she's perceptive, stable and in some cases rather intuitive. She's patient and for the most part amicable, though that's not to say you can't get a rise out of her if you play your cards right. She's a restless spirit, subconsciously searching for something. Not that she could tell you what she's looking for or why. She's inclined to wander off and is naturally curious of pretty much everything. So curious in fact that she'll be one of the first to enter a dark cave in search of answers, with little regard for her personal safety. Brave or stupid, either way she's too stubborn to give into her fear and has been known to get into a few tight spots because of it. Alongside this she's a very trusting person and is easily lead astray by the people around her. She regularly disregards the saying 'once bitten, twice shy' and is generally willing to forgive and forget any misgivings against her. She prefers being in a crowd of people rather than just being around one other person, especially if she doesn't know them well, she tends to get nervous if she's monopolised. She's very fond of her ancestral roots and their teachings, tries to follow them to the best of her ability and keep herself balanced. History: Saqui Shikoba was born and raised in the Pine Ridge Indian reservation, she has spent the majority of her life there with her family. Her father often called her ‘Little Feather’ as she was growing up; she's always liked the nickname, though as she's got older she much prefers being called Feather. Her father runs a small trade that involves making pipe tomahawks and other ceremonial artefacts and symbols. He is also a talented earth elementalist with an impressive pedigree of elementalist ancestors, whom are all male. Her mother is a teacher at the local school teaching the Lakota language, though she isn't an elementalist some of her ancestors were. She has two older siblings a normal sister who married young and remains on the reservation with her husband and an elementalist brother who also remains on the reservation helping where he can and learning about his powers from his father. Growing up, she was fascinated by the idea of controlling the elements and would often watch her brother and father when they trained. She's always spent a lot of time with her father, listening to his stories, learning what she could about her heritage and the spiritual beliefs of her people as well as whatever secrets he could share about his connection with the earth. Considering that her elementalist ancestors have all been affiliated with earth, it took her and her family by surprise when she begun to show signs of being an air elementalist. Her father doesn't know much about the other elements and it was decided that she should attend the academy. Feather is worried about leaving her home, she's accustomed to the way her community works and the safety of her family. But at the same time, she can't wait to discover what the academy holds.
