He adores the rush and the risk which comes with being a mercenary and much of that has spilled out into his normal life. He often rushes headlong into a situation, often without thinking of the consequences. This can cause issues with his honesty, as it results in Nick being rather blunt from time to time. Nick has achieved a great deal throughout his career, and he is very good at what he does, particularly due to the edge given to him by his cybernetics, as a result he can be rather smug and prideful.

While he can seem like something of an ass on the outside, Nick generally has the best intentions in mind, particularly for those he considers to be his friends and allies. He is relentless when it comes to protecting those he is close to, and would do anything for those he loves or considers among his closest friends. Often he will take these actions to help or protect those he is close with without considering the risks to himself, which can cause the ire of some of the people he is attempting to protect.

Born to a single father as his mother had died in birth, Nick wasn't given much choice in life but to pursue the same sort of work that his father did. And so, from a young age Nick was trained by his father in killing. As the head of a mercenary group, Nick's father was not one to accept failure, and so Nick spent much of his young life trying the same drills and exercises again and again until he got them perfect. He always had an iffy relationship with his father, but he didn't resent him at any point. Although he disliked the lack of choice, Nick loved the work he was being prepared for, becoming something of an adrenaline junkie.

By the time he was twenty-one, Nick was one of their best leaders, planners and field agents. He performed well throughout his career, but a mere three years later he suffered a severe injury during an operation and lost his right arm. His father gave Nick a cybernetic replacement, and Nick requested for his other, and perfectly functional arm to be replaced as well after learning of the benefits and the edge given to him by his 'enhancements' More came shortly after, enhanced reflexes, bone lacing and all the other standard ones, including a neural interface. Nick embraced all of the enhancements, believing them to be a boon which made his job much easier, and made him much better at it.

As Nick got older and continued to fight, his father's own luck began to run out, and eventually he was killed on an operation. Shortly afterward, Nick's friend and partner Sunie retired. Although it was difficult for him to see her go, and some of his missions became much harder without her assistance, Nick kept contact with Sunie and regularly came to her for some modifications or weapons that she had custom-made for his use. He is one of the few people who is in meaningful contact with her, and he spends much of his time off-work with her, or nearby making sure she stuck out of trouble.[/hider]
