Also, it seems obvious now...the quest is to now hunt whatever this cooky old man is hunting. Possibly a side quest to go with it to drag some other people into the mix as well? Any idea on what it is you're actually hunting, [@Orlan]? And why besides the standard "It's being a dick" thing going on with it?
