I think the distinction isn't really based on geography, more so that Europeans just don't care. Or maybe it's specifically my country. It's important to keep in mind that we've had gay marriage equality since like.. the 2001.

So things like gender, equality, gender studies etc. aren't hot at all here.

Contrary, all we hear about is racism and stuff like that.
