[u]Immortality:[/u] Although Nicholas can be permanently killed by conventional means, he does not however age. He will remain the same age as he was when he became a Talon.
[u]Increased Healing:[/u] Nicholas' healing does not allow him to repair any wound in seconds or come back from being torn in half, but it does, however, let him recover from things like broken bones at a slightly faster pace than a normal person.
[u]Enhanced Speed:[/u] Partly due to training, Nicholas has faster reflexes and speed, allowing him to react and move accordingly.
[u]Enhanced Durability:[/u] Thanks to his healing factor, Nicholas can endure most beatings.
[u]Hand-to-Hand Combat Training:[/u] Nicholas has been trained by the Court of Owls in numerous fighting styles.
[u]Throwing:[/u] A trained knife-thrower, Nicholas has an uncanny aim with his knives, able to hit specific targets even in the midst of combat.

In 1971, Nicholas Brett was born to a pair of circus performers who travelled with the C.C. Haly and Norton Bros. Circus, more commonly know as Haly's Circus, as it toured throughout the United States. 

Unbeknownst to most people, the circus was merely a front to serve the enigmatic Court of Owls in order to recruit their Talons, a group of assassins absolutely loyal to the mythical cabal. 
The Court had been harvesting acrobats, stunt performers, escape artists, and knife throwers from the Circus for decades. Unfortunately for him, Nicholas was also meant to be one of these Talons. Implanted in his right molar at an early age was a tiny piece of electrum alloy stamped into the shape of the Court's insignia. 

When Nicholas had hit the age of 18 in 1989, he was stolen away from his parents in the night. Brought in front of The Court of Owls in Gotham, he was "killed" before being brought back using the electrum alloy in his tooth, gifting him with peak human attributes and immortality, however, the process went wrong, somehow damaging Nicholas' vocal chords and rendering him mute. 
Despite his lack of voice, Nicholas was still on the path towards becoming a pawn for the Court. After all, you didn't need a voice to kill someone.

Nicholas was a natural Talon, he quickly became proficient with the usual weapons his predecessors used; throwing knives, swords, and even axes to mention a few. However, when it came to taking someone's life, Nicholas was unable to go through with it. Branded a failure by the Court, Nicholas was left with a mark of disgrace on his record and stripped of his armour and weapons. He was then retired, forcibly placed in stasis along with previous Talons until they would be needed in dire times.

While Nicholas was under, the Court of Owls was taken down by Gotham's regional vigilante, Batman in the present day. Finally waking from his decades-long sleep alone deep within the Court's inner sanctum, Nicholas now seeks his own path through the city of Gotham.

My question about the Court of Owls seemed to have been lost in with the other posts, so I hope this wasn't for naught. I'll add potential storylines and any editing I need to do in the morning.
