That number seems like a bit of an exaggeration, considering as well that some powers are quite minor (such as night vision). But the large number of abilities stems from the fact that essentially possesses two power suites from different supernatural creatures, with only a small amount of overlap.

The role this character is meant to play is smiliar to that of the Hulk. Very powerful, but extremely difficult to control and therefore highly dangerous.
