I'm going to ignore all of the sensible and reassuring comments in this thread to freak out over this one, because I like to have my pre-existing opinions and views validated above listening to others' wisdom.

But seriously, I'm freaking out less about the age itself and more just that I actually set that date myself as the day I'd start getting my shit together, find a summer job, quit smoking (again), look for a place to live next year, fix things with the family, etc. It's grim and I wanted to vent it for the 10 seconds it took me to make the thread. Thanks for the words of support everyone.
