About the new Ghostbusters movie: there is a fundemental misunderstanding of what others think the ‘haters’ don't like about it, versus what they [i]actually[/i] don't like. People think the outrage is because of the all-female cast and while there are surely some who are surprised/dismayed about it (to put it lightly), this doesn't seem to be the main problem with the majority. The main problem is [i]everything else[/i] that could be assumed from the trailer so far. People are just afraid it'll be a bad movie and frustrated that Ghostbusters doesn't get the reboot it deserves.

The ‘anti-feminism’ shitstorm is really just being used as a knee-jerk reaction to all other, as [@Dinh AaronMk] pointed out before, much more important and valid criticisms. This FB discussion sums it very well imho:
