I wouldn't necessarily go as far as to say that they have "no value". I just think that acting like your opinions are facts is silly when you apply it to subjective shit.
It cuts both ways, though. There are plenty of people who will shit on you for [i]not[/i] liking things, which is just as silly. As much as I personally enjoy goofy shit like "battle shounen", I'm not gonna act like someone's a moron for not liking One Piece or other things in that vein.
