Name: Blais (Pronounced Blaze) Hornfild Age: 14 Trainer Class: Psychic (Novice) Physical Description: Blais is a short boy standing at 5’5, his hair is black with a strip of blonde running through the bangs; the length being long and shaggy always dangling in his face. He has one ear pierced and often wears a necklace with a purplish-pink gem (Looks like the one on an Espeons forehead.). His clothes consists of an oversized, plain, black long sleeve shirt that falls over his hands so he usually keeps the sleeves rolled up, and light lavender cargo shorts that fall over his knees. Along with his attire he wears a belt to hold the pokeballs as well as a bag that is strung over his left shoulder and down to his right hip that is the colour of an off white with the buttons and stitching being the same shade of lavender as his bottoms. Sporting black shoes with purple laces to finish off his quirky look. Personality: Blais often tries to appear much tougher than he actually is. He walks around with his head held high and a smirk on his face trying to be mysterious but in actuality he is a total klutz tripping over his own feet and words. Thinking ahead when in battle is is forte, keeping his mind clear and keeping his own moves three steps forward, though this causes him to have his head in his clouds of thought and not really focused on the present. Though his intentions are good, he is also has a round about way of addressing situations and people merely droning on and on but not really getting to the point of what he is trying to say. He claims it will add to mysterious facade he is trying to uphold but in the end it makes him a little awkward to be around. Despite his quirks he is genuinely nice and attempts to befriend those he meets in hopes that they do not look at him any differently because of him being a psychic. Setting out on his journeys, he hopes that as time goes on he can hone in on these telekinetic powers he has. He does not show them off as they more happen on accident depending on his emotional state nor does he hide them. Just merely he is more so embarrassed that at his age he cannot control them yet. With hopes that this will help him, he keeps a positive attitude all while trying to be level headed and not let his optimism take off. Background: A family who resides in Lavender town, Blais did not have many friends because the town was always so desolate beyond the adults and older people who resided there. His father is also a psychic along with his older brother. He was close to his family until his brother progression of channeling was rapid and set expectations that Blais could not meet. This caused his relationship with them to be strained. His brother left for his journey when Blais was eight mending the relationship he had with his father slowly but surely. Even though his father expected Blais to be just as quick as his brother, his mother was always there to support him and told him to grow at his own pace. His brother never really visited home causing Blais to become lonely and making the decision to leave. Talking to both his parents about leaving, his father tried to talk Blais from doing such a thing as his powers were still unpredictable, but his mother convinced them both otherwise and Blais set out for his adventure at the age of 11. As he progressed through Kanto, he made many friends but traveled by himself. He never got far enough to be in the pokemon league with only 4 badges. During this time he caught many pokemon, and learned to better keep his emotions from affecting his abilities. Though even after all that it was still hard for him to learn more advanced techniques and even sharpen the basics. He returned home heavy hearted before hearing of the other regions that he could travel to. Hoping he could make more progress in his still hard to control abilities, Blais set out for a far off land known as Hoenn. There he arrived with a newly lit fire beneath him and his few pokemon he met in Kanto. Knowing that there was a new fate to be found there and to be able to seek guidance from the two famous psychic gym leaders that reside in the region.

Pokémon: Haunter: Celtic - Celtic is a playful prankster like pokemon who brings out Blais’s true colours. Though Celtic is also looking out for Blais who is, by nature, very klutzy. They became friends in the Pokemon Tower when he was a mere ghastly, and Celtic was the only thing Blais considered to be his friend when living there. The two had been close for a long time, Celtic being his first pokemon. They battled, played, fought and have stuck by each other. During the battle with Misty, Celtic evolved to beat her Starmie. He often enjoys scaring others, only to give them flowers in return to his scare. A genuine sweetheart, Celtic helps Blais cope with his lack of control, calming him down if he were to get upset or angry about something, Vulpix: Vesta - Vesta is a jealous, smug pokemon thinking that Blais is hers and only hers. They met when Blais patched her leg when she fell from a ledge while he was setting up camp. She often will pop out of her pokeball and threaten all who get too close to him acting as his protector, becoming very jealous especially of women. Vesta will crawl her way into Blais’s arms snuggling whenever she can find a chance. Poochyena: Cerberus - The first few moments of his arrival in Hoenn, Blais had his bag stolen from Cerberus. Chasing this little pooch down was no easy task and getting his bag back was no different. Running after him, running into trees, nearly falling into a stream and getting lost, Blais had no idea where he was in the new region. Though Cerberus soon ran out of energy and the pair sat under a large tree, exhausted from the chase. The two shared a berry from his bag and they became close friends. Cerberus is a prideful pokemon and enjoys causing trouble for Blais and others, stealing their things, eating food and other things. Though he often gives the items back if he is not given the reaction he wants. Pokémon left in Kanto: Wigglytuff: Jupiter - As a Jigglypuff, she would go around picking fights with any pokemon or person she met. Puffing out her chest and slapping around others, Jupiter was a bully to other pokemon. That was until Blais and Vesta taught the Jigglypuff a lesson...More so Jupiter attempted her bullying methods on Blais, causing Vesta to burn the poor Jupiter to a crisp. She soon followed Blais out of the forest, demanding another fight to which Blais won. Blais considers Jupiter to be his best fighter, always ready to take on any pokemon or even person she can. Though during a fight, she hurt herself causing Blais to leave her behind in Kanto to heal. She still holds a grudge over Vesta, the one pokemon she has never beat. Eevee: Astra - An egg he received from a mysterious woman he saw before he set off on his journey in Kanto. It hatched into an Eevee near the end of his journey, a loveable friendly pokemon who stayed quiet and kept to herself being very shy. Astra prefers to watch and learn new things from her friends. Since she is younger than everyone else, Blais left her with his parents to mature before he was to bring her to such a new place. Poliwhirl: Neptune - Neptune was a pokemon that was met in the middle of his journey while resting at a pond. He was a pokemon who knocked Jupiter into the water while on a walk, causing a large fight to ensue. Blais broke it up and fed the pokemon before capturing it. Neptune is rather quiet and a loner type pokemon, getting the job done swiftly and efficiently. He enjoys eating and sleeping, not as energetic as the other pokemon keeping a level head. Neptune was left in Kanto to help keep Jupiter from picking fights with the other pokemon and to help raise Astra and take care of his parents.
