In particular, the idea suggested by the human Laila was one that seemed to increase their chances of success without overwriting most other plans save the first, since it relied on the poisoning of the bandits' morning meal. It sounded like the Captain wasn't necessarily enthralled with the idea of a night assault anyway... so, it came down to his opinion on whether or not to split the group. After Fafnir's display of interest in payment, Nuva chose to spoke again.

"I maintain my opinion on which strategy would be best to handle these bandits," he stated, "but considering the numbers, any assistance we can get in terms of weakening the bandits would be appreciable. If nothing else, it'd slow them down, and make tracking any who escape an initial fight against the lord and his retinue easier, which of course both make Jex's job far easier.

"As for payment," he continued, staring over at Fafnir, "recall that if this plan and the subsequent ogre hunting goes as intended, we are practically guaranteed a position in the area as a certified guild, rather than merely a group of bounty hunters. One presumes payment would therefore be in-built for this job, Sigurd."
