Akane Himura
Height: 5'4" Weight: 115 lbs. Hair Color: Amaranth Eye Color: Gold Age: 16 Personality: Moving through life at the speed of a bullet train with locks of radiant crimson, Akane Himura is a girl who never wavers once she has set herself on a goal. Though many people exhibit an identical type of drive, so what makes her stand out from the bunch? Well, one thing for certain, she doesn't make it blatantly obvious. She also doesn't toss aside all other responsibilities should she find herself striving for something. But that is not to say she's indecisive. She's just a multitasker who works at a pace that sits well with her. But should somebody openly obstruct her path or deride her own sense of what's right, they'll be in for more than just a light singe. Akane is, for all intents and purposes, your stock tsundere. And you can damn well bet all four of your cheeks that the area around her is burned to a crisp whenever somebody outright calls her one. Although she likes doing things her way, she's always up to be led by somebody as long as they don't rub her the wrong way, but tends to vie for a position of presidence should it show itself just in case. But when she does have people to cover for, they'll be working with quite the headstrong mentality. By no means is she a good samaritan. If something has to be given up for a cause, the girl definitely expects something in return. Following this theorem, if somebody does her a solid, she'll give them a verbal IOU and rush to wherever when she's beckoned for. But just for your knowledge, if in the rare case that an unfortunate soul snaps at her, she'll briskly snap something of theirs. With the information above solely presented, one would presume that the girl would follow the path of a fire mage, and given her personality would have been a damn proficient one had she done so. But contrary to popular belief, in DGO the girl specializes in illusion magic. As mentioned earlier, she's a tsundere, but that's just one face among many that she can play especially well. Able to seamlessly change personalities on a moment's notice, the girl has donned many temperaments in the past. One moment she can be timid to the point that her presence is barely noted, the next she's the center of attention. Yet the unyielding personas many revere are only facade, a face that never needs a new coating of paint. Its pigmentation is never dulled by the ever-changing weather. What lies beneath is not the generic mentality thirsting for closure. Its a lack of faith in her own resolve. Perhaps at this juncture, she has already lost her grasp of her true self under the hues of others. Not really her loss though, since she discarded her true self for more vibrant personas because she concluded that it was boring and dull. But recently, the clouds have been progressively parted by the day, and its all thanks to a duo of idiots whose recklessness intensifies by the minute. History: The Akane, or more precisely, Akanes of today starkly contrast with the history behind the faces. Born to a generic family, in a run-of-the-mill household, with a mundane upbringing, the girl's early years were utterly boring. At one point she honestly believed her parents were following a step-by-step textbook on how to bore the living shit out of their child. It it's of any worth, they definitely succeeded in providing the child with such a lifestyle. Even the breakfasts they shared seemed to be cookie-cutter. With almost premade meals barely discernible from yesterday's, and probably identical to tomorrow's, accompanied by a glass of pristine milk. She actually hoped that one day she would find a rancid chunk just to break the record of consistency. Her father would always be reading through his chip, which he never showed at the table, so to Akane the guy was just staring into empty air, blinking once in a while to display some sentience. The girl entered and exited the doors of her school in a normal fashion. She had a handful of friends she trusted, but unlike them, had no defining attributes that made her stand out. She had to do something to comepnsate for the blank canvas that was her personality. So she became a leach. Not like the typical human garbage who drains energy from their "friends" through various means, she just used a fraction of her friends' colors for foundations. And from there she built up. It was intentionally gradual, and as expected, was mistaken for the mental growth that comes with maturing. But over time, she got better at acting how she wanted, not as she was. A master of picking up social cues and conforming to the situation, Akane Himura became a mere name attached to many faces. She produced so many of these facades that she ended up losing sight of her original, bland self. But to her, that was a price she was willing to pay. "Anything to escape the normality of that household" was the sentiment she found peace in. But in reality, she just wanted to become somebody worth remembering. A person who wouldn't be easily discarded. She found her way into the Sweepers through a connection and joined for no clear reason. Up 'til now she has maintained a neutral standing on the faction. As long as its members guns remain pointed at Outlaws and not at her, she was totally fine contributing to activities. But as many members of her rank, the clandestine operations of Cleaners and Erasers are the equivalent to forum flame to her. She merely writes the claims off as players being pissed about the faction. Recently, she has been heavily involved with the Sweeper Arms Slave, and has subsequently fallen under the unofficial command of Shiro Kawabata/Paper Moon. Staff Mastery: Increase the effective abilities of staff by 25% Avatar Abilities: Trompe L'oeil (Cooldown 1 Round) - Can manifest an array of illusion with her imagination as a foundation. The ability comes with a lot of utilities and options, but a couple of manners she uses it in are as follows:
-*Perdu For You: Has the effect to make an entity invisible to the eye. She is able to cast this ability on players, vehicles, even random objects of her choosing. The spell can counteract lock-on abilities to an extent, and can partially conceal entities from heat-reading abilities, but not entirely. Even though an affected entity can move an infinite distance from Strawberry, the spell is still hindered by its time limit. Originally with a window of two minutes, after CC's fall, Strawberry chose the feat Staff Mastery, it was extended by an extra thirty seconds. For clarification, the abilities only tampers with the sense of sight. The other four are completely uncompromised. If an invisible target is running at somebody full speed or wreaks of failure, they might get backhanded. Most efficient with Rogues who chose Grim Stride. -*Spacial Projection: Essentially makes Strawberry a living projector, but rather than utilizing a video or slide as a resource, she instead projects what's a boxed area of what's before her. In addition, her projection can be anywhere from life-size to gigantic, but the larger it is the faster her reserves are drawn. The projection isn't totally clear and has a static overlay during the first few seconds, but it suffices. -*Imagination Manifestation: Dubbed with an all-encompassing name for a reason, Strawberry can create illusions as long as she has a solid image in her mind. But they are just that. Illusions. They bear no influence on the physical plane, but are perfect replicas of their legitimate counterparts. May it be a low level dissolution or a meteor shower, the only end known to the possibilities is the boundaries of Strawberry's imagination
Marionette (Cooldown 2 Rounds): The strings tied to the perfect replica she can materialize of herself are seemingly invisible, but always attached. Strawberry Baby is able to create an identical copy of herself corresponding in every aspect. Looks, health, ability, the carbon copy has it all. It cannot inflict any damage, yet it can take the brunt of an enemy attack and perish just as a normal player would. Like a marionette, Strawberry can control the copy, but it can show a measurement of individuality when it is given full permission to act independently on a task. When it dies or is dismissed, the memories captured are transmitted to Strawberry, making it a viable scout or stand-in. There is no time limit to how long the marionette can maintain its physical form, but it does require a notable amount of time to cast and to recharge before another casting, thus it's not something she can do in the midst of combat. Reality Shock (Cooldown 4 rounds) - For a short moment, her illusions become the real deal. Thus the damage dealt is limited to her imagination and what she has set up in advance. Remember that meteor shower? Wonder how Outlaws look scorched in craters. Even though the ability can be cast instantly, it has a lengthy cooldown, which is why her attacks pack a punch and are usually pivotal to the outcome of a fight. Other: Visionary's Reach: Her favorite staff. Has the perk that if she scores five consecutive hits with her magical bolts, she gets a round off of an ability's cooldown round of her choosing.
